Dining Options: Jiko, Boma, The Mara, Cape Town Lounge and Wine Bar, Victoria Falls Lounge, Uzima Springs Pools Bar, Sanaa, Maji Pool Bar, & Wanyama Safari and Dinner
Transportation: Disney’s Bus Service
Pros: The lack of quick and frequent transportation makes this hotel at the bottom of the list for families. The bus service is reliable, but you are at one of the furthest points from every other theme park other than Animal Kingdom.
Cons: Since this hotel is located in a more secluded location with a safari on property, it still attracts families. And families staying at this hotel are there to relax and enjoy the hotel. So you run the risk of families sticking around during your downtime.
Important to Know: At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can enjoy four different savannas with real roaming animals. This resort also has some of the best dining options on all of Disney’s propety. Sanaa’s bread service has become a Park Prodigy tradition with each visit to the parks. Along with a breakfast buffet at Boma!

Pros: There is no resort other than the Disney Boardwalk that will supply you with endless fun as an adult. Our biggest pro at this location is JellyRolls Dueling Piano bar! Also, we can’t forget to mention it’s in walking distance to EPCOT and a short boat ride or walk from Hollywood Studios.
Cons: Can be difficult to book a room here. Since the majority of this resort is made up of DVC Villas, the non-DVC rooms are hard to come by.
Important to Know: The BoardWalk is one of the best Disney World hotels for adults 2024 because of, well, the BoardWalk. Along the waterside docks you can find a dueling piano bar, Jelly Rolls, an array of delicious Italian food, games, and more! Your options for entertainment while staying at the BoardWalk are endless!

Dining Options: Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Geyser Point Bar & Grill, Roaring Fork, & Territory Lounge
Transportation: Boat & Disney Bus Service
Pros: Similar to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, this resort is pretty secluded considering its proximity to the Magic Kingdom. This resort truly feels like an escape to a National Park. Also located here is Geyser Point Bar & Grill with an amazing whiskey selection.
Cons: There is a character dining location at this resort which draws in a lot of families. The rooms are also low on natural light and are due for an upgrade.
Important to Know: Get ready to get lost while following the several nature trails, this resort has to offer! Our favorite is the quick service location, Roarin’ Fork. Most of the food our team has tried here has been solid. 10/10 recommend this to anyone wanting to venture into the wilderness at Wilderness Lodge. It truly is one of the best hotels at Disney World for Adults on property.

Dining Options: Steakhouse 71, California Grill, Chef Mickey’s, Contemporary Grounds, Cove Bar, Outer Rim, & The Sand Bar
Transportation: Boat, Bus, Monorail, & Walking Path
Pros: This hotel hosts some of the best bars in a Disney hotel on property if that is your scene. There is nothing like watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from indoors, drink in hand, at the California Grill.
Cons: I like to call this hotel a transit hotel. While it’s not a popular family hotel, this hotel receives a lot of visitors who are not hotel guests. I think this takes away from the escapism that I look for when traveling to a Disney World.
Important to Know: Disney’s Contemporary Resort rooms recently received an upgrade and now has an exciting Incredibles theme throughout the main building. We love the newer upscale and modern feel of the Contemporary Resort. The Contemporary also has some of the most incredible views! Which if you’re looking for the best Disney resort hotels for adults with views of Magic Kingdom, this is your best option.

Transportation: Boat, Bus, Monorail, & Walking Path
Pros: You won’t find a resort anywhere near the Grand Floridian when it comes to fine dining. Yes, other hotels on this list have great food. But none of them have a AAA Five Diamond Award or made the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award. There is also an incredible Disney themed bar, which is perfect for the Disney resorts for adults.
Cons: You can bet that awards of that caliber have the price tag to match. Especially at Walt Disney World. In order to dine at Victoria & Alberts, you can expect to pay between $295 and $500 per person not including their infamous wine pairings.
Important to Know: The Grand Floridian has long been considered on of the best onsite Disney World Hotels for adults. It is one of Walt Disney World’s most classic resorts and most Disney Adults picture it when we they think of a luxurious Disney vacation. While The Grand Floridian is still one of the best Disney World hotels for adults 2024, we do feel that it is a little outdated.

Pros: The theme here is gorgeous, you really feel transported the moment you enter. But the main pro here is the pool. The Lost City of Cibola is considered one of Disney World hotels best pools for adults. This resort packs a huge pyramid, a jacuzzi, and a quick-service restaurant all nearby.
Cons: Hollywood studios is the closest park, but the Disney bus system is the only free transportation. Like all of the moderate resorts, the resort is quite large and all of the buildings/dining areas are spread out. Unless you are staying in the new tower with concierge service, the other areas of the resort are not easily accessible.

Dining Options: Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, Scat Cat’s Club, & Mardi Grogs
Transportation: Friendship Boats & Disney’s Bus System
Pros: This resort is only a boat ride away from Disney Springs! And is a great option for groups of adults who plan on enjoying the shopping, dining, and nightlife that Disney Springs has to offer. There are also plenty of pathways for quiet strolls accompanied by beautiful landscapes and scenery. We find this to be one of the best Disney World deluxe resorts for adults 2024.
Cons: With such vast grounds, getting around the resort itself can be time-consuming. Even when going to or coming home from the parks, there are multiple bus stops throughout the property which essentially eats away at your time.
Important to Know: There are two resorts located at Port Orleans. The French Quarter and Riverside. Riverside is a beautiful option, but we find the experience at French Quarter makes it the best Walt Disney World hotel for adults of the two. The live music at Scat Cat’s Club never disappoints. Especially when enjoyed with delicious freshly made Mickey-shaped beignets!

A: In all honesty, there isn’t a bad place for adults at Disney World. The transportation provided makes other more adult friendly areas of the resort much more accessible. But if you’re looking to eliminate the need to bus or boat around the expansive resort, we recommend the following resorts for your kid free vacation: Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Contemporary Resort, BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, The Grand Floridian Resort, Coronado Springs, Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter, & Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
A: Typically most adults enjoy staying near EPCOT. Therefore most adults who go to Disney tend to stay at a Disney BoardWalk hotel. Onsite Disney BoardWalk hotels include the BoardWalk Inn and the Yacht & Beach Clubs. Off-site Disney BoardWalk hotels are the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin hotels owned and operated by Marriott.
A: They absolutely do! I may be biased, but I think it’s the best way to enjoy a Disney vacation! Not having to plan nap times, deal with over tired screaming children, and I get to have my favorite drink in my hand at the end of the night? Sign me up! If you are planning an adults only park day within a family trip, we highly recommend you explore EPCOT to drink around the World!
A: In terms of theme parks, Universal Studios is a better park experience for adults. But an ideal childless vacation would be to stay at a Disney World hotel, enjoy the Disney Parks, and schedule a day or two at Universal Orlando. There typically isn’t free transportation but a ride share to Universal typically costs anywhere between $15-$25 one way.
A: Technically, adults can ride every single Disney Attraction. There aren’t any “you’re too tall to ride this ride” situations at Disney. That being said, you might not be very comfortable on some smaller rides. But you can absolutely go on them!
A: Out of all of the theme parks in Orlando, hands down the best park for adults in Orlando is EPCOT. It is getting more “kid friendly” as the construction continues to bring the newer animated films into the park. But it is still heavily catered to adult food and entertainment.
