From our experience, it can sometimes be less expensive to book a moderate resort room that holds 5 guests vs two Disney value resorts.

All-Star Resort standard rooms start at around $128 per night but can go upward of $200 on peak days around the holidays. Depending on the time of year, the prices between the three might fluctuate but all three resorts are always around the same range and the cheapest of all Disney hotels. We typically recommend staying at All-Star Movies if you have a family, as they are the only All Star Resorts with suites.

Before we dive into the details of each of the cheap Disney World hotels on property let’s take a look at their shared benefits. So, what are the benefits of staying at the 2024 cheapest Disney World resorts? And very similar to all of the other Disney World hotels on our list, the Disney World budget hotels come with Genie+ access, resort-wide charging privileges, free Disney transportation, and extra morning magic hours. From our experience, we do find the free shuttle transpiration and early access to the individual Genie+ lightning lane rides to be the most beneficial when compared to staying at an off-site hotel. And it’s important to note from what we have found even if some of the cheaper hotels near Disney do market free transportation to the parks it’s usually only a few times in the morning and a few times at night.

Disney Budget Resort Benefits 2024

  • Early Genie+ Access: Guests at Disney resorts can make their Genie+ reservations for each day starting at 7:00 AM. To compare, all other guests are allowed to make Genie+ reservations when the park opens. This gives you early access to booking attractions and entertainment so it’ll be easy to plan your day exactly the way you want. This will also allow you to get on rides quicker which will allow you to spend less time in the parks. Simply using the new Genie+ correctly is one of the cheapest ways to stay at Disney World.
  • Resort-Wide Charging Privilege: All resort guests staying at a Walt Disney World hotel will have the option to connect their credit card to their Magicband or room key for resort-wide charging privileges.
  • Extra Magic Half Hours: Hotel guests can enjoy an extra magic half hour every morning. Less crowds, shorter lines – what’s not to love?

They are called the Disney World value resorts and they all start right around $150 per night and provide all of the amazing benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World resort. On top of that they all have some amazing amenities including game rooms and swimming pools that the whole family will enjoy.

The All-Star Resorts are the most affordable Disney World resorts. There are three of them, grouped together. You can walk easily from one to another, so if you are staying with a group and are spread out, it’s still easy to meet up. One important thing to keep in mind: since these are Disney World budget hotels, there are no restaurants. Instead, each of the All-Star Resorts has an on-site food court. Food options include burgers, salads, pizza, pasta, and a breakfast menu.

All of the All-Star Resorts also include an on-site arcade, playground, and jogging trail, plus Movies Under the Stars on select nights. With all these amenities, these three inexpensive Disney hotels simply can’t be beat!

This delightful movie-themed hotel is usually the cheapest Disney World resort. The larger-than-life décor includes characters from Toy Story and 101 Dalmatians. You’ll find toys and puppies everywhere!

Despite being the cheapest hotel on Disney property, with Disney hotel room rates starting around $125, the All-Star Movies Resort offers plenty of amenities for guests. Its popular Fantasia pool sprawls under the watchful eye of Sorcerer Mickey, whose outstretched hands spray water into the pool below. And hockey fans can take a shot at the Duck Pond, a hockey-themed pool based on The Mighty Ducks.

If you want a more tranquil swimming option, the Piano Pool – shaped like a grand piano – is the perfect place to unwind. The oversized decor focuses on baseball, basketball, football, surfing, and tennis in the inimitable Disney way, with giant, colorful statues of Donald Duck’s nephews playing sports. The outdoor stairs are hidden in gigantic football helmets!

Catch a wave at the aptly-named Surfboard Bay Pool, surrounded by vibrant 3-story tall surfboards – and a shark fin. For the youngest travelers, there’s an adjacent kiddie pool. Or play ball at the Grand Slam Pool, shaped like a baseball diamond with Goofy on the mound. Baseball fans will love lounging in the outfield (sundeck)!

One of the main advantages here is that neither of these hotels shares a bus line, making traveling to and from the parks much quicker. You’ll get to walk through some of the most famous fads from the 1950s to the 1990s – from yo-yos and Rubik’s cubes to catchphrases and fashions. This is also now one of our favorite Disney budget hotels with the newest addition of the Disney Skyliner! And with hotel rates starting right around $135 per night, we believe that’s a steal!

Have a groovy time at the far-out 60s-themed Hippy Dippy Pool, one of the most fun value resort pools at Disney. Its flower-shaped spray jets will delight kids (and adults!). Or head over to the smaller pool, the 1950s Bowling Pool, or the 1990s Computer Pool.

The Everything POP food court has 7 stations offering typical American fare for reasonable prices. Unlike some of the other food courts, though, it also features a large shopping area. You can buy your Disney souvenirs without having to leave the hotel!

This resort is an ode to Disney’s and Pixar’s fan-favorite movies, such as Cars, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. Blending Mexican, Spanish, and Southwest American influences on the shores of Lago Dorado – inspired by the fabled quest for the mythical city of El Dorado.

The resort’s Dig Site was made for sunny Florida days. The Lost City of Cibola Pool features a majestic 50-foot tall Mayan pyramid at its center and a 123-foot long water slide.
