Tips and Tricks: The Plaza Ice Cream sundae has made its way onto the best desserts in Magic Kingdom 2024 list, mostly for nostalgia. As Disney Foodies for many years, we can’t say that it is the most imaginative dessert, but there is nothing like getting the perfect sundae right on Main Street in front of Cinderella Castle. The smells from inside will draw you in, as you can smell them making the fresh waffle bowls from down the street.

We suggest heading over to The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor earlier in the day because as it gets later, the line gets longer as more people are looking for an after-dinner dessert. If you’re looking for the best Magic Kingdom desserts to snag in the afternoon and watch the Main Street parades and cavalcades, The Plaza Sundae is it! This treat is perfect for kids, because not only is it colorful, but there is also a seating area right across from where it’s sold, which is perfect for a midday or evening snack.

The oatmeal cookies are the best part of the entire dish, so if that’s why you like oatmeal cream pies, you’ll love this.

The Wookie Cookie Disney treat has been known to be inconsistent sometimes, so be aware that on occasion it has been dry and not as yummy as it can be!

Backlot Express is also the perfect place to have a cheap lunch or dinner with a lot of options, so we even suggest planning your whole meal there as it is one of the better quick-service restaurants inside.

We had this cookie many times, and have declared it as one of the best desserts at Hollywood Studios for 2024. You should know ahead of time that this cookie is EXTREMELY sweet, and might be too much richness for one person. It is shareable between at least two people, and perfect for chillier nights and early mornings since it’s served warm.

The Num Num Cookie is a lot different than the large Gideon’s Cookies at Disney Springs, so if you’ve already had one of those on your trip, we suggest trying this one out too! As for Disney cookies, the Jack-Jack cookie is cakier on the outside, with a warm, gooey center and huge chunks throughout.

Tips and Tricks: School Bread has to be one of the most original and cultural desserts that we love in all of Disney World. We love it so much that every single time we go to EPCOT we have to stop for breakfast to get a bun, and then usually one to take home, too. That’s why we think it is one of the best desserts at EPCOT 2024 because the sweet custard and spiced bun are delicious and tender every single time.

The World Showcase doesn’t open until 11 am but, but Kringla Bakeri Og opens in the morning with an entire case of delicious pastries and even Viking Coffee. That’s the perfect time to grab the staple School Bread EPCOT treat!

#6 – Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich – Best Disney Pastries 2024

Location: L’Artisan des Glaces – EPCOT (France Pavilion)

Price: $7.00

Taste: Chocolate-flavored macaron with ice cream center

Tips and Tricks: L’Artisan des Glaces is a hidden gem on the World Showcase, along with the other food and beverage shops in the France Pavilion. If you’re looking for authentic French patisserie, then make sure you add this shop to your list. The Macaron Ice Cream sandwich is the best dessert at EPCOT because it captures the perfect baking of France, but is delicious, handheld, and perfect for anyone in the family.

While the chocolate macaron is the normal flavor, there are also rotating flavors throughout the year, which are also delicious. If you happen to go in the morning, we also suggest grabbing a croque glace, which is a scoop of ice cream pressed in warm brioche. The brioche ice cream sandwich EPCOT has is delicious, but typically sold out by noon. The Disney World pastries in the France pavilion happen to be our favorite among all four parks and deserve a stop or two.

#5 – Apple Strudel – Biergarten – Best Dessert at Disney World Buffets 2024

Location: Biergarten Restaurant – EPCOT (Germany Pavilion)

Taste: A warm and crispy strudel with apple filling and vanilla sauce

Tips and Tricks: Looking for dinner and a show? Biergarten is one of the most unique restaurants at EPCOT in that it offers a buffer of authentic German food, but also live German performers that have an interactive show. The real showstopper, and best dessert EPCOT has for a buffet is the apple strudel. Every guest at our table went for seconds of the warm, apple-y dessert with heaps of the delicious vanilla custard topping.

When it comes to the buffets at EPCOT, we think that this is the more adult of the two too, with some adventurous food options for little ones. You can head over to Garden Grill if you’re looking for a character meal or something more familiar.

#4 – Grapefruit Cake – Best Dessert Disney World 2024

If you’re looking for dinner and an experience you’ll never forget, then we suggest booking a reservation to take a seat at a retro TV table to try some of Mom’s chocolate peanut butter cake. Not only is it the best dessert in Hollywood Studios, but you will also have some of the best food and best Cast Member experiences while dining.

50’s Prime Time Cafe is one of the most popular restaurants in Hollywood Studios because everyone can’t wait to get a taste of Mom’s special pot roast. Just watch out, you might get yelled at if you don’t eat your vegetables and get them served back to you for dessert instead of the peanut butter cake!

#2 – Maple Creme Brûlée – Best Desserts in EPCOT 2024

Location: Le Cellier – EPCOT (Canada Pavilion)

Taste: A creme brûlée with maple whipped cream, shortbread maple leaf cookie

Tips and Tricks: Le Cellier is personally one of our favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World due to just how good their food can be. That is no exception for the Maple Creme Brûlée dessert, which is absolutely delicious and the best dessert in EPCOT 2024. You can take yourself on a tour of Canada with maple creations from maple whiskey-glazed Brussels sprouts (my favorite side) to even Seafood Medley with maple.

We love this restaurant and think it is perfect for a date night or anniversary due to the selections of steak and elegant desserts. The restaurant is also beautiful, even though it can be hard to see it since it is in a cellar.

Tips and Tricks: Truly, the best Disney World dessert of all time is the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, because there is no other dessert that I dream about after having. Liberty Tree Tavern is one of the best restaurants in Disney World where you have all you care to eat portions, leaving you stuffed every time. It doesn’t stop guests from having the last course, and best Magic Kingdom dessert – the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake.

The toffee is warm and soft, with the chewiest chips of vanilla and chocolate fudge, and the best way to end a Thanksgiving-style feast they prepare. Be aware, that there is a lot of food, and some guests don’t realize that dessert is free and comes at the end with a portion for every two guests. So don’t skip this plain-looking restaurant, because you will be delighted with this dessert!

Not only are there delicious desserts year-round, but there are also show-stopping EPCOT desserts at the seasonal International Festivals, as well. All ECPOT festivals have food booths placed around the World Showcase, serving small plates and dishes of food that celebrate various cultures. Every year we find ourselves recounting the Disney desserts in some of the festivals have our favorite dishes of the entire event! Most of the festival booths offer at least one dessert on their menus with scrumptious classics, and even creations that push the envelope like a goat cheese creamsicle.
