While it’s common to encounter extra fees and upcharges at Disney Parks, notably with the new replacement for the Disney Fast Pass system, this isn’t the case for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland! If you haven’t visited a Disney Theme park since 2019, there is one additional step you need to take to enjoy Star Wars: Galaxy Edge Disneyland. Along with your park ticket, you will also need a valid theme park admission to Disneyland Park. Make sure to plan your trip at the right time since Disneyland also has date-based prices!

While the Disney Parks are famous for their character meet and greets, Disneyland’s Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge takes a slightly different approach. Official Star Wars meet and greets in Disneyland aren’t a feature here. However, guests will be thrilled to encounter their favorite Star Wars characters roaming around this immersive themed area. Imagine crossing paths with Rey, encountering Kylo Ren, spotting Stormtroopers, meeting Vi Moradi, or even having a chance to interact with Chewbacca! Adding to the excitement, one of the newest and most exhilarating character events at Disneyland is the introduction of the Mandalorian and Grogu, bringing a fresh and dynamic presence to the Galaxy’s Edge experience.
It’s important to note that while there are characters from the Star Wars franchise roaming around, none of them are official meet-and-greets. An official meet and greet is a designated time and location where a character will appear. At Star Wars Land in Disneyland, there is no official time or place you can meet or expect a character to be. All characters in Galaxy’s Edge are random and not scheduled in advance.
