As a general rule of thumb, the base tickets are always going to be the cheapest Universal Orlando ticket option when compared to the park-to-park tickets.
Universal Base Ticket Cons
It’s important to note that the Universal Orlando base ticket will not allow guests to ride on the Hogwarts Express. It’s also not the best fit for families who are only visiting Universal Orlando for one day precisely for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The main reason being the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is split between both Islands of Adventure theme park and Universal Studios Florida.
Universal Park-to-Park Ticket Pros
The Universal Orlando park-to-park ticket is the perfect fit for families who want the ultimate flexibility within their day to visit more than one theme park. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Orlando Discount Tickets
Another one of the most common questions we receive is, is Harry Potter World a separate ticket? And it’s important to note that Universal does not sell specific Wizarding World of Harry Potter tickets.
It is also important to note that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is split between two lands within Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. So it’s essential to have a 2-Park ticket if you are trying to visit both Harry Potter lands. And last but not least, guests who plan to ride the Hogwarts Express will need to buy a park-to-park ticket. So, depending on what your plans are this is one of the rare cases where the cheapest Universal Orlando ticket might not be the best fit for you.
