If your trip doesn’t extend to either of those days, we find it best to visit Galaxy’s Edge on a weekday over a weekend. So a Monday or Wednesday will still be better than a Friday or Sunday. With that being said it is best to avoid the weekends at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge when possible.

Now that you have planned the best time of month to visit Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, it’s important to understand what time you should show up at the parks. The best time of day to visit Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is without a doubt in the morning. This is because guests will be able to ride the Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run attraction with a very low wait time. We recommend getting to the park an hour before the regular opening time. This will you enough time to go through security and be one of the first families in the parks.

When is the Best Time of Day to go to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge?

• In the morning! – The earlier the better. If you’re able to get Early Theme Park Entry by staying at one of Disney World’s resort hotels, you can get in an hour before the park opens!

After you ride both attractions in the land, we also recommend exploring the area and grabbing a bite to eat at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Plan on doing the attractions first since the restaurant doesn’t open until 11 am! But no matter which way you look at it, arriving early will give your group a lot of flexibility. If you choose to explore some of the other rides and attractions that Hollywood Studios has to offer first, know the wait time for Rise of the Resistance will only get longer as the day goes on.

If you didn’t know, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is home to two main rides. The Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. When planning out your day at Hollywood Studios, it’s important to know that the best time to visit Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will be different depending on which ride you want to go on. The reason is that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is now included as a premier ride within Disney Genie+. This allows guests a bit more flexibility if they are looking to upgrade to this Premier Pass as you can make a reservation time to come back later to ride. However, if guests are trying to ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, we recommend arriving for Hollywood Studios rope drop, so you can avoid long lines later in the day.
