The official announcement of the 2024 Magic Kingdom Christmas Party has not yet been announced. But we can expect the announcement to be a part of the Halfway to the Holidays Disney event on June 21, 2024.

The official dates for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party have not been announced yet. However, we can safely estimate the 2024 dates based on prior years! Our best guess on the MVMCP 2024 dates will be November 7th to December 20th, 2024. But starting July 4th, 2024, guests will have the opportunity to secure their tickets for the highly anticipated 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This enchanting event is scheduled to take place on select nights from November 9th to December 22nd, 2024. It’s crucial to understand that your MVMCP ticket grants you exclusive access to the Magic Kingdom park specifically for the evening of your chosen party date. This means you won’t need a separate day ticket for Magic Kingdom on the day of the event. It’s the perfect way to make the most of the festive holiday season at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

What are the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates?

The 2024 dates have not been revealed yet. But based on the 2023 dates, we can assume the 2024 MVMCP dates for this year are as follows:

• November 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 26, 28, 29
• December:  1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22

All of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024 tickets will be sold on the date-based ticket pricing system. For those unfamiliar with Disney’s date-based system, the ticket price will either be more or less expensive based on the day you choose to attend the party.

• Adult (ages 10 and up): $159 to $199 per ticket, plus tax
• Child (ages 3 to 9): $149 to $189 per ticket, plus tax

Entering Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024

During the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights, the Magic Kingdom park will typically close at 6:00 PM to regular guests. However, Disney has a seamless transition plan in place to accommodate partygoers. This is handled in two ways:

Guests Entering MVMCP after 4:00 PM

Park guests who enter The Magic Kingdom after 4:00 PM will be guided by cast members to specific entrances. Once you enter the turnstile a cast member will give you a bracelet allowing you to remain in the park after 8:00 PM.

Guests Who Spent the Entire Day at The Magic Kingdom

You will not have to walk to the entrance of the park for a wristband if your family spends the day in the park. Simply ask a cast member for the nearest wristband station throughout the park.

You can find the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party wristband stations in:

• Fantasyland
• Adventureland

All park guests without wristbands will be filtered out throughout the park in an organized fashion.

As you can guess if the Magic Kingdom is closed to a select number of guests on nights throughout the Christmas season, the crowds at the park on non-event nights tend to be higher than normal. Tomorrow Land Speedway: Guests can enjoy a ton of lights and decorations as they speed through this Disney classic!

Space Mountain: Enjoy holiday lighting and an upgraded Christmas soundtrack on your journey through deep space!

Mad Tea Party: The classic teacups will have an upgraded holiday color scheme and special effects.

Can I ride TRON Lightcycle Run during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?

Yes, TRON will be open during the Disney Christmas Party but there are some things to note beforehand. Guests attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party who wish to ride the TRON Lightcycle Run will need to join a virtual queue. Here are the key details:

• Guests attending the party can request to join the virtual queue at 6:00 PM.
• Guests will need to use the My Disney Experience app to enter this attraction.
• A standby queue for this attraction will not be available during the event.
• Each guest can request to enter this virtual queue no more than once per event.
• This is only available for guests on the day of the event they are attending, and their specific event tickets must be linked to their My Disney Experience account in order to join the virtual queue.
• Guests attending this special ticketed event do not need to be in Magic Kingdom Park to request to join at the time the queue becomes available.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Snacks & Dining 2024

You will find an abundance of complimentary (and unlimited!) Christmas treats throughout the Magic Kingdom during the night of your party. For those specialty treat locations, keep your eyes peeled for big inflatable peppermint sticks to signify treat locations.

 Here’s a quick glance at last year’s event-exclusive treats and their locations:

• Welcome and Exit treat – Chocolate-covered peppermint chocolate (and a poster now!)
• Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe – Snickerdoodle cookies and hot cocoa
• Columbia Harbour House – Sugar cookie and hot cocoa
• Pinocchio Village House – Snickerdoodle cookies and hot cocoa
• Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe -Chocolate chip cookie and hot cocoa
• Snack carts throughout – Popcorn, Mickey bars, Mickey sandwiches, water and soda

Special Note: For families with allergy concerns, almost every snack location will offer allergy-friendly treats. Definitely feel free to ask a cast member what your options are!

As for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dining 2024, only select restaurants will remain open during the party. In our opinion, it’s best to eat dinner before the party starts so you can take advantage of all the free snacks and save time for entertainment instead of a sit-down meal.

Again, these dessert parties are from 2022 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We hope to see these return at the Disney Christmas party in 2024.

Although we are still waiting to receive the final word on the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party, Disney has included some special treats in years past. One of the add-on options in years past has been the MVMCP dessert party. Just like the special Disney dessert parties held on normal operating nights, these events will provide guests with holiday themed treats as well as a special view of the fireworks.

The two MVMCP Dessert Party Options are:

• Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza View
• Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party with Tomorrowland Terrace view

The pricing options for both parties do range from $69-$84 for adults and $41-$50 for kids aged 3-9. It’s also important to note that this is in addition to the price of your Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party ticket. Although we do love the fireworks at this event we simply don’t find the dessert party worth it at this price point. Especially when you consider that free cookies are included with your MVMCP ticket.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Character Meet and Greets 2024

Rare character meet and greets are a huge perk to attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Once you get your wristband, you’ll be able to line up for any special Very Merry Christmas party meet and greets you have your heart set on. In our opinion, don’t run to the very merry Christmas party meet and greets when you first arrive. This is especially true for the most popular characters such as the seven dwarfs, Santa Goofy, and Mickey Mouse. We recommend you wait until later in the night, specifically after Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks at 10 p.m. You’ll experience significantly shorter wait times than for most very merry Christmas party meet and greets!
