What is a Disney Deluxe resort?

Disney Deluxe Resorts is the luxury tier of hotels in Walt Disney World, with the nicest rooms, best transportation, and most popular dining options. These hotels are going to cost you the most when booking, and are typically the hardest to book with how popular they are. A handful of the deluxe resorts at Disney World are iconic and on the monorail line overlooking Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom, which we love.

Disney Deluxe Resorts are also offered the extra perk of Extended Evening Hours, which is extra time for guests in the park after close. If you’re looking for a vacation inside of a vacation with your Disney hotel, then the deluxe tier is for you. Each Disney deluxe resort has an incredible pool and even extra recreation options like Movies Under the Stars or even tennis courts or walking trails. Here is a list of moderate resorts at Disney World:

  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort -Riverside
  • The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

What is a Disney Moderate resort?

Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts are right in the middle, not the most expensive and not valuevalued which are huge and have great character. If you like exploring, we find that the overall campus size of the moderate Disney property resorts is massive and great for walks. They might not be the best resorts for families, as they aren’t overly Disney-themed and it can be hard walking back and forth from the main eatery to your rooms.

Other than that, we think that you get the most value for booking a Disney moderate resort with how nice the rooms are and overall accommodations. Port Orleans – French Quarter is our favorite Disney resort to visit as adults to get beignets one of the best moderate hotels Disney World offers! You can even book your very own cabin at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, which has all of the comforts of home, and is great if you have a baby or toddler.

Value Disney Resorts 2024

Here is a current list of Walt Disney World resorts in the Value tier:

  • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

What is a Disney value resort?

Disney Value Resorts are the cheapest hotels out of the Disney resort categories and are perfect for groups or families on a budget. If you aren’t planning on spending a lot of time in your hotel room and want to save the most money, we recommend booking a valued hotel. Value hotels still have amenities like standard swimming pools and free Disney transportation, it’s just all rather basic. Art of Animation and Pop Century Resort are attached to the Disney Skyliner, which makes them a bit better than the All Stars Resorts for transportation.

Disney’s All-Star Resorts all share the same large area near Animal Kingdom, where there are three different hotels on the same property. These hotels are great if you don’t care about the size or the theming of the rooms and are just looking for a pool to splash around in. Each All-Star Resort has its cafeteria-style quick service with simple food, perfect for families on the go.

Disney World Resort List FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the price range for a Walt Disney World resort room?

A: The range for Walt Disney World rooms is huge, with value rooms starting at about $130 and then deluxe rooms ranging to as expensive as $6,000!

Disney does date-based pricing, so the more popular time of year, the more expensive your room will be. The holidays and summertime are going to have higher rates than non-peak seasons like February and September.

Q: What are the advantages of staying at a Disney Value resort?

A: Even though Disney value resorts are going to save your wallet, they don’t fall short when it comes to Disney perks, which is awesome. All guests staying at Disney Value Resorts get Early Park Entry, which is a 30-minute early entry to all four Disney theme parks. You also get Early Access to Lightning Lane choices at 7 am, versus the park open for everyone else. There are also discounts for on-site guests and an expanded dining window for booking reservations.

Q: Which are some of our favorite Disney Value resorts?

A: Our favorite Disney value resort is Disney’s Art of Animation resort, which seems to have it all for the price. It has the most convenient transportation, like the Disney Skyliner, the most Disney theme, and the most choices for large families visiting the resort. If you’re going for price alone, the All Stars resorts are also the perfect choice, just a bit stripped down and less exciting.

Q: How many hotel rooms are at Disney Word?

A: Walt Disney World has over 30,000 hotel rooms between the 21 different resort hotels located throughout the property. That makes a lot of sense seeing as that Disney sees over 100,000 guests a day visiting the four different theme parks, water parks, and shopping complex. So, when you’re looking to book your next room, there are many different choices with standard rooms, suites, and villas.

Q: How many Disney resorts are there?

A: There are 21 different hotels on Disney World property. That only includes Disney-owned hotels, and not the hotels located on property like the Swan and Dolphin, or Swan Reserve hotels.
