While this list was hard to narrow down, we believe we have found the 10 best hotels near Walt Disney World 2024. To help you determine if you want to stay at one of the best Disney World hotels on-site or off-site hotels, we have two separate lists for you. A best 5 on-site hotel list, and a 5 best off-site hotel list. Not every single hotel made the list, but we did consider some things when gathering our list of the 10 best hotels near Disney Orlando. Each hotel is within 3 miles of a theme park and has a rating of 4 stars or higher!

This resort is themed more than any other Disney resort. The location also makes it the best value hotel option. Pop Century comes in a close second for the best hotel near Disney Orlando as it’s essentially connected via a walking path around the hourglass lake between the two resorts. It is also a quick Skyliner stop away from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

The elegance of this resort even puts some of Disney’s on-site hotels to shame. Not only can guests of this resort enjoy all of the experiences at the Waldorf, but also at its sister hotel which has the number 4 spot on our list. We love the options of dining and other amenities this resort has to offer. Including Early Park Entry and the complimentary shuttle service!

#4 – Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek – Best Non-Disney Hotels Close to EPCOT

Distance: 2.6 miles to EPCOT

Starting Rates: $240 per night

Important to know: The newly renamed Signia by Hilton is a sister hotel of the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. They not only share dining options but also pools and complimentary Disney shuttles. One thing that’s huge for us in the difference of these hotels is the price. Prices vary but the Hilton is generally about $300 less expensive than the Waldorf. One of the main reasons this hotel is one of the best hotels to stay at near Disney World is the lazy river pool! Guests can enjoy a poolside drink while floating along the lazy river and relaxing on their day off from the parks.

#3 – Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Hotel – Best Hotels Near Disney for Newest Resort 2024

Distance: 0.8 miles from EPCOT & 1 mile from Hollywood Studios

Starting Rates: $454 per night

Dining Options: Amare, Grounds, Stir, & Tangerine

Transportation: Disney Bus Service, Walking Paths, & Disney’s Skyliner

Important to know: This is the newest resort on Walt Disney World property and therefore the most modern and up-to-date hotel. You do have access to the transportation listed above. But prepare to walk a little further to things such as the Skyliner or the back entrance to EPCOT. We wanted to put this hotel on our best places to stay around the Disney World list because we think it’s still worth it to consider this hotel as an off-site option. Not only location-wise but also the perks of staying at this hotel are bountiful. Guests can expect similar major perks as the other hotels on this list such as Early Park Entry.

#2 – Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel

Distance: 0.8 miles from EPCOT & 1 mile from Hollywood Studios

Starting Rates: $326 per night

Dining Options: Shula’s Steak House, Shula’s Lounge, Todd English’s bluezoo, Todd English’s bluezoo Lounge, Cabana Bar and Beach Club, The Fountain, Phins, & Picabu

Important to know: Similar to the Waldorf and Hilton, the Swan and Dolphin hotels are sister hotels. Guests can expect to use both resort’s pools, bars, and restaurants when staying at one of the resorts. But more importantly, the walking path to Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Skyliner, and Disney’s Boardwalk are less than a mile from the front doors! We love the Disney Dolphin and honestly, it was a tie with the Swan for first place on our best hotels near Disney World list.

#1 – Walt Disney World Swan Hotel – Best Off-Site Hotel Near Disney 2024

Distance: 0.8 miles from EPCOT & 1 mile from Hollywood Studios

Starting Rates: $352 per night

Hotel Rating: 4 stars

Dining Options: Garden Grove, Mulino New York Trattoria, Mulino Lounge, Chill, Java, Kimonos, Kimonos Lounge, & Splash Pool Bar and Gill

Transportation: Disney Bus, Water taxis, and Skyliner

Important to know: Major perks of staying at these resorts that come to mind are the free Disney transportation and Early Park Entry! Especially for EPCOT. The walkability makes staying here for a more EPCOT-focused vacation the number one spot in the best Disney area hotels. One major thing to keep in mind when staying at this resort, or any of these off-site resorts is the resort fee. On top of the room rate, unlike an official Disney Resort, each of these off-site hotels charges an additional fee to stay and use the resort amenities. The Dolphin and Swan charge an additional $35 for the resort fee.

Is it Cheaper to Stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel or Air BnB?

The least expensive option depends on the size of your party. If you’re traveling in a large family vacation or friend group, say 5-6 adults or more. We would recommend looking into an Airbnb as the cheaper option. The decision to stay between a Disney Good Neighbor hotel and an Airbnb truly depends on the type of vacation you want to have. Some of the best places to stay near Walt Disney World are not necessarily hotels! The benefits of staying at an Airbnb outnumber the cons. Sure you don’t get Early Park Entry, but you get a full kitchen and space to yourselves to relax and enjoy your time.

Or, if you’re looking to stay completely off-site and you’re ok with losing Disney Parks perks, we recommend the Wyndham Grand Orlando.

A: When looking at staying in a hotel outside of Disney World, first you have to look at what types of perks you are ok to give up. Some off-site hotels offer free transportation along with Early Park Entry similar to on-site Disney resorts. There are hotels on Disney property that are not owned by the Walt Disney Company. Those hotels offer the same amazing perks. It’s once you get off of Disney’s property when you start losing those benefits.
