Disney also announced guests trying to grab a Star Wars Rise of the Resistance Boarding group no longer have to be at Hollywood Studios. So, the next question we need to take a look at is, how can you predict the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge crowds? And the one way we find the easiest to track the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge crowds is to use the new Disney reservation system. This also allows guests to spot the days when you can expect large crowds at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. The reason being is Disney World now requires a park reservation to visit each Walt Disney World theme park. Guests will be able to see if Disney’s Hollywood Studios is at park capacity compared to the three other Disney theme parks. This is especially true if you are a few weeks and months out as parks have not been reaching capacity restrictions until about a week or two out. So if Hollywood Studios is booked and you’re a few weeks away you can expect crowds at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

This is because guests will be able to ride Millennium Falcon Smugglers run with very little wait times.We recommend getting to the park a half hour before the regular opening time. This will you enough time to go through security and be one of the first families in the parks.
Your group can also spend the morning exploring and grabbing a bite to eat at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Rumor has it, their food is out of this world! (I’m sorry I just had to) Once you’re done grabbing a bite to eat you can spend the extra time going on Millennium Falcon Smugglers run or exploring the different stores in Galaxy’s Edge. We even decided to build our very own R2-series droid one morning at the Walt Disney World droid depot!
No matter which way you look at it arriving early will give your group a lot of flexibility if you choose to explore some of the other rides and attractions that Hollywood Studios has to offer.

So as you know Star War’s Galaxy’s Edge , has two main rides Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run and Star War’s Rise of the Resistance. You might be surprised to learn that the best time to visit Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will be different depending on which ride you go on.
The reason being is one of the Rides Star Wars Rise of the Resistance is now included as a premier ride within the new Disney Genie+. This will allow guests with a bit more flexibility if they are looking to upgrade as you can make a reservation time to come back later to ride.
However if guests are trying to ride Millennium Falcon Smugglers run we would recommend to arrive for Hollywood Studios rope drop , so you can avoid long lines later in the day.
