Let’s start with the most basic question which is, what is the Disney World park hopper ticket? The Disney World park hopper ticket is a special type of Disney World ticket that will grant you admission to multiple Walt Disney World theme parks on the same day. Guests with a park hopper ticket can visit EPCOT in the morning, and then go see the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom at night. This is a great option for guests looking to get a lot done in a short amount of time! It’s also
It’s important to note that one quick tip that can save you a ton of time and also help save you a ton of money is to compare Disney World park hopper ticket prices. Why you might ask? Well just like Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World theme park tickets now fluctuate based on the time of year you visit. So one of the easiest ways to pick the slowest time to visit Disney is to compare the cheapest Disney World ticket prices. The cheaper the tickets the more likely it is that the parks won’t be as crowded during that time of year.
Next we will take a look at another important question which is, what does the 2023 park hopper pass include? And as a general rule of thumb the regular Park Hopper ticket includes admission to all four Disney World parks including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom. While the Disney Park Hopper Plus ticket will include admission to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.

Next, we will take a look at another common question and that is, what is the Disney World park hopper plus ticket? And very simply, the Disney World park hopper plus ticket includes admission to all four of the Disney World theme parks which are Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT plus the two Disney water parks which are Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. The cool thing is guests can actually visit all six theme parks in the same day although we do not recommend it.
So now that we have covered the basics another important question to ask is, how much to add the park hopper ticket in 2023? Adding the Disney park hopper ticket will be $65 for one day, $75 for two and three day Disney World tickets, and $85 for four to ten day Disney World tickets. The important thing for guests to keep in mind while shopping for both park hopper and park hopper plus tickets is they can always upgrade their Disney World ticket during their vacation as long as they still active ticket has not expired yet. The price to add the park hopper ticket will also be the same if purchasing in advance vs during your vacation.

If you’re wondering, “what is the difference between the Disney Park Hopper vs Park Hopper Plus?” you’ve come to the right place. Both options offer great perks for Disney fans who want to be all over the parks for their magical trip. Next, let’s dive deeper between the park hopper options. Disney World has three different park hopper upgrades which are the park hopper, the park hopper plus, and the water park and sports upgrade.

So next let’s take a look at the question, when should you upgrade to the Disney World Park Hopper ticket? And as a general rule of thumb we find the park hopper ticket to be the best fit for guests who are trying to get a lot done at Disney World in a short amount of time. This would be for families thinking about vacationing in Disney World for 3-4 days, while visiting all four theme parks. We also believe the Disney World park hopper ticket can be a great fit for families with kids in their teens. The main reason being is that it’s just easier to hop from park to park when everyone is a bit older. It also allows for parents to enjoy their vacation more without having to carry the strollers throughout all four Disney parks.

It was recently announced that certain “modifications” will be part of the Park Hoppers for the time being to help manage attendance and physical distancing, we definitely would still recommend this option if you plan to visit multiple parks in one day.
Currently, Disney has set specific “Park Hopper hours” during which this option is available to add-on to your tickets. The park hopper hours will start at 2:00 p.m. every day and end at the park’s scheduled close time. With this update, guests are required to make a Disney park Pass reservation for the first park they plan to visit AND enter that first park prior to visiting another, as per the new modifications. A park reservation is not required after that first park, Disney announced.
**Please note that CURRENTLY the ability to visit multiple parks is subject to a park’s capacity limitations. In the event that the Park Hopper option is unavailable at a certain park, guests will be notified in real time via a notification from the My Disney Experience app, which we definitely recommend you download prior to your trip. A common “hack” is that guests will use a park hopper pass to hop over to parks that were originally at capacity when booking reservations. To understand further, when booking your Disney vacation, you have to make reservations for each park that you choose to visit. If a park you want is at capacity and blocked out for reservations, the park hopper option can allow you to hop over to a blocked out park as long as it isn’t at full capacity for the day.
This was very common for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on a fully blocked out day. When Rise of the Resistance had virtual queue boarding groups, there was a serious drawback. To ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance , you had to have Hollywood Studios as your main park to make a virtual queue reservation.
Now, this is the same for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, where EPCOT must be your main reserved park to request a virtual queue spot.
Why does Disney do this? Because this brand new ride operates on a virtual queue only, and is operating at a limited capacity. Simply put, it just doesn’t have the reservation capacity to support the added crowd park hoppers would bring.
Additionally, park hopping is currently being capped at a certain undisclosed amount each day. That means there’s a chance you could arrive to a second park and not allowed entry. A good rule of thumb is to not wait too late in the afternoon to hop parks.

So, is the park hopper plus or park hopper worth it? The Disney park hopper gives guests the freedom to not be stuck at one park, and is honestly one of the best perks when it comes to owning an Annual Pass. Sometimes having a fruit waffle in Magic Kingdom for breakfast, and finishing your night in EPCOT for drinks and festival food makes for the ultimate Disney foodie day. Other Disney lovers like to hop around for different nighttime spectaculars, or even to ride all of their favorite rides in one day!
If you plan on going to water parks, golfing and more, AND heading to the parks, this option is definitely worth it. If you don’t plan on going to the Disney Park Hopper Plus water park, including Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, don’t feel the need to upgrade to the Disney Park Hopper Plus option. If you’re wondering whether you should get the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus, it really does come down to the water parks and the other Disney fun (IE: golfing) and what you plan to do on your trip.
