This may be a change for some Disney guests, where tickets used to be valid for much longer than they are now. That means it is super important to check the dates for your Walt Disney World tickets and park hopper options. Disney theme park tickets are valid for admission beginning on your selected start date and must be used within the “valid use” period provided at the time of purchase.
The Park Hopper option for same-day admission to more than one theme park is subject to the validity windows listed above.
The Water Park and Sports option adds another day to your valid use period. For example, a six-day Water Park and Sports Option ticket with a start date of November 1 is valid for any six days from November 1 to November 10.
The Disney Park Hopper Plus option also adds another day to your valid use period, just like the Water Park and Sports option.

We find the Park Hopper Ticket to be the best fit for guests who are trying to get a lot done at Disney World in a short amount of time. This would be for families thinking about vacationing in Disney World for 2-3 days while visiting all four parks. We also believe the Disney World Park hopper ticket can be a great fit for families with kids in their teens. The main reason is that it’s just easier to hop from park to park when everyone is a bit older. It also allows parents to enjoy their vacation more without having to carry strollers throughout all four Disney parks.
If you plan on going to water parks, golfing, and more, AND heading to the parks, this option is worth it. However, if you don’t plan on going to the Disney Park Hopper Plus water park we don’t feel the need for the upgrade.
