How to Rent DVC Points 2023 – David’s Rental Store

DVC Rental Store: This is (one of) the best DVC rental site and offers Disney Vacation Club rentals Orlando. The process is quite simple—check availability and compare rental offerings by price, select from the available Disney Vacation Club villa rentals, and you’re good to go! A reservation specialist will help you book your vacation, and 25 percent of your total vacation cost (minus a $100 security deposit) is due to confirm the reservation of the Disney resort rentals.

The remaining 75 percent balance is due no later than 75 days prior to your arrival. How much do DVC points rent for? The going rate for renting DVC points varies, but through this site guests pay $19 per point for all stays within seven months. By renting Disney Vacation points, David’s says you essentially do not have to commit to a full vacation package.

*Renting DVC points and dining plan: Guests book their villas and have the option of adding a dining plan and park tickets, but are not obligated to do so. This also means that park tickets are NOT included in the cost of the DVC club rentals point purchase, so keep that in mind when budgeting if you plan to visit the theme parks.

Since the aforementioned companies specialize in WDW Vacation Club rentals, they are typically the best way to rent DVC points and a safer bet when it comes to ensuring your reservation is made correctly and you do not get ripped off. Albeit a small risk, it’s definitely something to keep in if you plan on renting points from an individual instead of a company.

How to rent a Disney timeshare from an owner:

If cost-savings is your number one priority, you can also rent DVC points through individuals, many of whom can be found on forums such as DIS Boards and MouseOwners. This is your cheapest DVC rental points option, but one concern to rent Disney Vacation Club points by owner is, of course, worries that the person on the other end of the computer is up to nefarious deeds. Although there is a small portion of the population who may try to take advantage of others, you should be fine if you do your research and rent DVC points from owner from individuals who seem credible and reputable.

How to buy Disney Vacation Club points: You don’t need to commit to a DVC membership to stay at a DVC resort! You can take full advantage of the complimentary parking, pools, fitness centers, and other amenities. DVC owners are allocated their points yearly and are responsible for maintaining the membership fees to use their points. As a DVC points renter staying in a villa, you’re only responsible for paying for the cost of the rental you’ve booked.

Renting DVC points cost up to 65 percent less than booking a vacation directly through Disney, on average according to reports. Guests who buy Disney Vacation Club points also enjoy free parking at all Disney Vacation Club resorts. And booking Disney Vacation Club rentals last minute can, in theory, save you even more.

Keep in mind, with DVC rentals, you will not have control over the reservation. The DVC owner makes the reservation in your name, so you do not have full control over the reservation as you would in a non-DVC point rental scenario. You would have to contact the individual or company that has made the reservation for you if you need any changes or additions made, so this is why it’s extra important that you work with a reputable company or individual!

If you are a DVC member looking to rent your points, you MAY rent your points, however, Disney Vacation Club issued a statement prohibiting the use of points for “commercial purposes,” which includes a pattern of rental activity or other occupancy by a member that could constitute a commercial enterprise or practice.
