And Universal Orlando has three different types of lockers for guests to use including free Universal ride lockers, standard lockers, and family-sized all day lockers. These lockers can be found at all three of the different Universal Orlando parks. And one of the most important things that we always recomend to our clients is to be prepared to use one of these lockers even if you have a small bag or fanny pack. And the main reason is that some of the Universal Orlando rides require guests to put any and all bags into a locker in order to ride them.

The next most important question on this topic is, how do the ride lockers work at Universal Orlando? And as discussed the complimentary Universal Studios Orlando lockers for rides are provided to guests at a number at Universal Orlando rides and attractions. These rides tend to be the Universal roller coasters and thrill rides in which it’s important for lose items to be put away. It’s important to note that the free Universal Studios lockers are specifically for guests who are going onto that attraction, and each guest must grab their bags as soon as the are off of the ride. Any guest who does not grab their belongings right away might have to pay an additional fee or even grab their items from lost and found.
The free Universal Studio lockers are designed to hold smaller items such as fanny packs, purses, and small backpacks. The dimensions of the free lockers at Universal Orlando are approximately 14 inches wide, 5.5 inches high, and 16.9 inches deep. From our experience even a normal sized backpack might not fit in the lockers at Universal Studios due to all of the items most families bring with them to the parks.
Guests who go over their free Universal Orlando ride limit may be required to pay an additional charge of up to $20 for the entire day. It’s also important that Universal Orlando might also move your belongings to lost and found depending on how busy the parks are that day. From our personal experience it’s always best to grab your belongings from the free Universal Orlando lockers as soon as you have exited your ride.
