What are the Different Lockers at Universal Orlando Resort?

best rides in Universal orlando

  1. Free Ride Lockers (14 in x 5.5 in x 16.9 in) These are available at select attractions, especially those where carrying loose items isn’t permitted for safety reasons. These lockers are intended for temporary use while you’re on the ride. They can hold small items like fanny packs, purses, and compact backpacks. The best part? They’re free to use while you enjoy the ride, but remember to retrieve your items immediately after the ride to avoid additional charges.
  2. Standard Lockers (12 in x 13 in x 16.9) Ideal for storing items for longer periods compared to the free ride lockers. These lockers are larger, allowing room for medium-sized bags and purchases you’ve made within the park. The standard lockers come with a fee – generally $4-$5 for the first 90 minutes, then $3 for each additional half hour, with a daily maximum cost. They’re perfect for guests who want the freedom to explore the park without carrying their belongings.
  3. Family-Sized All-Day Lockers (12 in x 16.25 in x 16.9) These are the largest lockers available and are great for groups or families. They can store multiple bags, strollers, and other large items. These lockers are available for an all-day flat fee, which varies depending on the park location. Since these lockers can sell out, especially on busy days, renting one early in your park visit is recommended.

How Do You Use the Universal Orlando Lockers?

The same rules apply for the free lockers, standard lockers, and family sized lockers. With the biggest difference being that standard and family sized lockers will require a payment. Guests will follow the onscreen instructions to pay for the size locker that they would like or scan their park ticket for the free ride lockers. They will then receive a locker number and the available locker will pop open. Once guests put their belongings in the locker they should close it and make sure it’s secure. They can access that locker again after their ride or later in the day using their Universal Orlando ticket.

For free ride lockers, it is really simple! Before you board the Universal attraction with the locker requirement, there will be Team Members checking for guests with any bags. From there, you will find a locker rental kiosk, scan your ticket and you will be provided with a free locker for your ride. Typically, a number will display on the screen and a locker will pop open so you know which is yours.

Remember the number! When you go to retrieve your items, you will scan your ticket and enter in the locker number. It is fairly simple as long as you don’t lock your ticket in the locker. If you do, there are Team Members available for help.

Follow these steps to use a Universal Orlando locker:

  • Select the locker size you would like
  • Pay or scan your Universal Orlando ticket at the locker kiosk
  • Once you’re assigned a locker put your belongings inside and make sure it’s secure when you close it
  • Use your Universal Orlando ticket to open your locker back up later in the day
