We happen to be at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, a lot, like Annual Passholder a lot, and the restaurants that we recommend to our clients the most are the Three Broomsticks, Thunder Falls Terrace, and Mythos. As you’ll see below one of the things that we love about Islands of Adventure is the variety of dining options that this park has to offer. We almost always recommend the Three Broomsticks for families visiting specifically for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Thunder Falls as a great quick service option, and Mythos as the perfect sit-down meal. Of course, we can’t forget about all of the other great restaurants on our list, including some healthy and gluten-free options, which we will break down next!

Next, we’ll break down another prevalent question that we receive, and that is, where is the best breakfast at Islands of Adventure? From our experience, the most popular tends to be Starbucks, which is directly to the left once you exit Port of Call. However, the best restaurant at Islands of Adventure for breakfast is Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade Village. One of the main reasons we love this restaurant is that it gives guests the ability to try the traditional English breakfast or the classic American breakfast along with a famous Harry Potter pumpkin juice.
We would also say that, in our opinion, one of our favorite things about eating your Islands of Adventure breakfast at the three broomsticks is the theme of this restaurant. It allows guests to feel like they are stepping foot right inside of one of the Harry Potter books and the movies. For the ultimate experience, be sure to check out the Harry Potter vacation package, which will include meal vouchers to enjoy breakfast at the three broomsticks as well!
As we continue to make our way through all of the best foods at Islands Adventure, we’ll answer the question, what is the best lunch spot at Islands of Adventure? And we believe the best place to have lunch at Islands of Adventure is Thunder Falls Terrace. As discussed above, not only does it have some of the best food at Islands of Adventure, but we also love the location for lunch. The main reason is that Thunder Falls Terrace is located within the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure, right in the middle of the park. For this reason, we feel like it works perfectly for families who are looking for a great place to eat lunch, no matter if you start from the right side of the park or the left side. We also love the new mobile ordering system that they have set up for every table, which allows guests to easily pick out and order what they would like. One important tip that we suggest for anyone who plans to eat at this quick service restaurant is to download the Universal Orlando App and set up a payment method before you arrive to save time.
We typically love to end our night with the best restaurant at Islands of Adventure, which is Mythos. Mythos has been named the best theme park restaurant in the world and has some fantastic views of the Islands of Adventure theme park. It is also located right between Seuss Landing and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which makes it a great ending spot for guests who start from the left side of the park and plan to work their way around. It is important to note that guests who plan to take advantage of early park admission will start on the right side to take advantage of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

Another popular question is, where can I get the best snacks at Islands of Adventure? We love Doc Sugrues Desert Kebab house for guests looking for small plates such as Gyros and any snack shop in Hogsmeade village for sweets and treats. Our favorite snack in both Universal Orlando parks is the Butterbeer ice cream or cold Butterbeer. One great tip to remember is that the Butterbeer stands are open for early park admission, so this could also be one of the best breakfast options if you like to start your mornings off with something sweet.
Next, we’ll look at some of the healthier options at Islands of Adventure. We typically visit Thunder Falls Terrace or Doc Sugrues Desert Kebab House when looking for healthy options at Islands of Adventure Park. Some of our go-to meals at Thunder Falls Terrace will be the rotisserie chicken salad or the rice bowls. At Doc Sugrues Desert Kebab, we typically go with the Greek salad combo or the chicken kebab combo with a Greek yogurt or fruit cup on the side.
We all know that turkey legs are an essential part of any theme park vacation! Luckily, guests can find turkey legs at three Islands of Adventure restaurants, which include Thunder Falls Terrace, The Three Broom Sticks, and G-Force Snacks. It’s also important to note that all three restaurants are located on different sides of the park, giving you the ultimate flexibility when deciding which meal to enjoy your turkey leg.
Our favorite spot to grab a Butterbeer at Islands of Adventure is at the Hogs Head pub directly next to the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade village. Two Butterbeer carts are located near both entrances so guests can enjoy their favorite Harry Potter treat.
