Disney World Extra Evening theme park hours is a benefit for Disney guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, which allows them to stay in the theme parks past regular park closing. On average the extra hours for deluxe guests has been two hours after the park close and it has quickly become one of our favorite benefits to take advantage of when we visit Walt Disney World, with the main reason being it’s a great way to take advantage of some really low wait times for some of the most popular rides in Walt Disney World.

It’s important to note that a valid theme park ticket with a reservation for that day is required, or a Disney World park hopper ticket or annual pass. And the other important thing to note is that not all of the Disney World rides are open, however as you will see below it is most of them. Disney also recently announced some exciting news which is it will be extending the Disney World deluxe hotels extended hours through 2024, and it will also be including Hollywood Studios which we love!

And from our experience, the best Disney World deluxe hotels for extended evening hours will be the hotels within walking distance or closest to the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. With the main reason being that the Disney deluxe resort extended hours will typically end extremely late at night between 11;30 PM to 1:00 AM depending on the theme park Disney has open. So as you can see there is a benefit in being able to walk back to your hotel or to having the shortest trip possible. Although Magic Kingdom really only has two hotels within walking distance which are the Disney World Contemporary Resort and the Disney Grand Floridian Resort we do find that there are some really amazing hotels right near EPCOT, which can be a great choice for Disney extra evening hours.

If you’re looking for the cheapest official Disney World deluxe hotel included in the extra evening hours then we would suggest you take a look at the Disney Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney’s Old Key West Resort.

What are the Disney Deluxe Resorts Extended Hours Dates in 2024?

And as you’ll see below, on average, we see the Disney deluxe hotel extra hours being held at each participating theme park once per week. Because these events are not held every night it’s very important to keep this in mind while planning your Disney World vacation. It’s also important to note again that a valid theme park ticket is required for that day, and each guests must have a park reservation for the park with the extended deluxe resort after hours or a park hopper ticket or annual pass which will allow them into the extended hours theme park later that night.
