Payment Plans for Universal Studios Orlando

This article is your complete guide to Universal Orlando payment plans in 2025! As you will see, the easiest way to take advantage of a payment plan is to book an official Universal Orlando vacation package. This allows guests who are more than 45 days away from their check-in date to book for $50 per person down, and pay their trip off over time. The most important thing is that your package is paid in full by that 45-day mark.

The only way to take advantage of a payment plan if you’re only purchasing Universal Orlando tickets is to upgrade to a Universal Orlando annual pass. This option would require that each person puts down the cost of 1-day at Universal Orlando, which is around $220, and then they can pay their pass off for a low monthly fee. There are no monthly payment plans through Universal Orlando at this time for any other ticket-only option.

2025 Universal Studios Orlando Payment Plan Options

Let’s start this guide with the most common question we receive which is: are there payment plans for Universal Studios Orlando? To confirm, families who book a Universal Orlando vacation package, which includes a hotel and theme park tickets, can take advantage of a payment plan as long as their travel dates are more than 45 days away. Guests who meet the 45-day requirement can book their Universal Orlando vacation package for as little as $50 per person down. The other benefit to taking advantage of an official Universal Orlando vacation package through a Universal travel agency like The Park Prodigy is guests can make as many or as few payments as they would like, with the most important thing being that your vacation package is paid in full at the 45-day mark.

It’s important to note that guests can also take advantage of this payment plan even if they plan to stay at one of the Universal Orlando-friendly neighbor hotels as long as they include tickets in their package and book through a travel agency.

Another payment plan option that might work for some families who visit the theme parks often or really more than 5 days out of the year is to upgrade to a Universal annual pass. Guests can opt into the Universal FlexPay option and spread out the cost of their annual or seasonal pass payments over 11 months after an initial down payment of around $220.00. The only reason why we don’t love this option at this point in time is the Universal annual passes do not include EPIC Universe. However, guests with annual passes can purchase 1-day Epic Universe tickets for an additional cost.

As noted above, there are no payment plans for guests who are only looking to take advantage of Universal Orlando theme park tickets.

Eligible Universal Orlando payment plan products

  • Hotel and ticket packages: Payment plan available and can be booked for as little as $50 per person down and need to be paid in full 45 days before your trip
  • Universal Orlando annual or seasonal passes: Spread out your annual or seasonal pass payments over 11 months after an initial down payment

Universal Orlando Vacation Package Payment Plans

As discussed above, guests looking to take advantage of the Universal Orlando vacation package payment plan can book their trip for as little as $50 per person as long as their travel dates are greater than 45 days away. The only difference here would be if you also wanted to include the official Universal Orlando travel insurance in your package, in which case you would pay the $50 per person down plus the cost of the travel insurance as your deposit.

How can I set up my Universal Orlando package payment plan?

To confirm, all discount Universal Orlando vacation packages booked through The Park Prodigy would automatically only be charged the $50 per person deposit as long as they are booked more than 45 days away. Guests can simply just let their Park Prodigy travel planner know that they would like to pay your Universal Orlando vacation off over time and we will help you schedule your payments. As discussed, you can make weekly payments or simply one payment at a later date as long as your full balance is paid off by the 45-day mark before your trip.

Can You Receive an Extension on Your Universal Orlando Payment Plan?

Another very popular question we receive on this topic is, can I ask for an extension on my Universal Orlando package payment plan? Officially, guests do have to make sure that their Universal Orlando vacation package is paid in full by the 45-day mark. However, one of the other benefits of working with a company like The Park Prodigy is we will give you reminders as we get closer to your trip, and although it’s not guaranteed, we can always request to get an extra day or two to make sure payment is made. And, in the rare case that you would need some additional time, we can always work with you to possibly move your trip to a different date in the future, which would give you extra time to pay off your vacation.

What is the cancelation policy for Universal Orlando packages?

  • 45 Days or more: Full refund (Additional Terms & Conditions apply regarding transactions including air travel, Halloween Horror Nights, Blue Man Group, VIP Tours, and other excluded products)
  • 44 – 6 Days: $100 fee per reservation, plus cancellation fees charged by the supplier, will be incurred
  • 5-0 Days: $200 fee per reservation, plus cancellation fees charged by the supplier, will be incurred

Setting up a Payment Plan for Universal Annual Passes

As discussed above, guests can take advantage of a payment plan when purchasing a Universal annual or seasonal pass and set up future payments over 11 months after an initial down payment. There are some restrictions with the flex pay option. However, this could be a great choice for families who plan to visit the theme parks for more than 5 days. The only thing that we are not crazy about is that the annual passes at this point in time do not include Epic Universe. However, guests with annual passes can purchase 1-day tickets to Epic Universe.

Current Universal annual and seasonal pass payment options

  • 2-Park Power Pass: Requires a down payment of $252.94 and 11 monthly payments of $23.00

Is There a Payment Plan for Universal Orlando Tickets?

universal-studios-jurassic-park

Unfortunately, there are no payment plans for families looking to take advantage of just Universal Orlando tickets at this time. This means that if you are just looking to purchase Universal Orlando tickets without a hotel, then you must purchase them with the full amount due at the time of the transaction. It’s also important to understand that, unlike an official Universal Orlando vacation package ticket, ticket-only purchases are also non-refundable. So for this reason, we always recommend that guests who know that they might need a hotel for their trip price out a Universal Orlando vacation package because it might be more money; however, it will also give you the ability to pay your trip off over time and you would flexibility when it comes to your trip cancelation. However, on the flip side, if you do already have your hotel, there are other benefits that guests can take advantage of by booking through a travel agency like The Park Prodigy, such as saving up to $70 per ticket and free park plans to get the most out of your time at Universal.
