The Busiest Days at Disney World

This article will break down the busiest days at Disney World! And from my experience working as a Walt Disney World Cast Member and historical wait time data, the busiest days tend to be Monday, Friday and Saturday. This tends to be because most families start their Disney World vacation on Sunday or Monday, and make that the first day in the park. Families also almost always tend to take a break in the middle of the week and go back to the parks towards the end of their vacation on Friday and Saturday. The weekends also bring in Florida locals which can add to the crowds and this is especially true during the busier times of the year such as major holiday breaks.

So if you’re ready to learn about the busiest days at each Disney World park read on!

Breaking Down the Busiest Days By Park

What are the busiest days at Magic Kingdom?

  • Monday, Wednesday and Saturday

As a general rule of thumb, the busiest days at Magic Kingdom park tend to be Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The Magic Kingdom park is by far the most visited theme park in the world and one of the things that I learned when selling tickets here is that families  love to start their vacation at this park on Monday and end it on Saturday. It’s no surprise that this ties into statistical wait time trends and the current Disney World Genie+ prices. It’s also important to note that The Magic Kingdom is the most popular Disney theme park during the holidays, specifically Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the Fourth of July weekend.

What are the busiest days at EPCOT?

  • Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday

We find that if many families are visiting Magic Kingdom park on Monday they tend to lean towards visiting EPCOT on Tuesday which make it the busiest day based on wait time data. We also find that EPCOT is one of the most popular Disney World theme parks for Florida locals which make this park extremely busy on Saturday and Sundays as well. This is especially true when EPCOT is hosting one of the popular festivals.

What are the busiest days at Hollywood Studios?

  • Monday, Friday and Saturday

Hollywood Studios is the first Disney World park to have it’s busiest days include a Friday based on historical wait time data. As a general rule of thumb, we find this park to be the busiest during Monday, Friday, and Saturday. It’s also important to note that Hollywood Studios is the another popular Disney theme park during the holidays, specifically Christmas, and many Star Wars fans love to visit this park during the May the 4th weekend.

What are the busiest days at Animal Kingdom?

  • Sunday, Monday and Saturday

Animal Kingdom is another park that guests love to visit in the middle of the week which make it so that Sunday, Monday and Saturday tend to be the busiest days to visit. We would also say that Animal Kingdom is another park which many guest start their day at and then usually park hop over to one of the other three Disney World theme parks which make this park busier during the early morning hours.
