This article will break down the busiest days at Disney World 2025! From my experience working as a Walt Disney World Cast Member and historical wait time data based on the last 12 months, the busiest days tend to be Monday, Friday, and Saturday. This tends to be because most families start their Disney World vacation on Sunday or Monday, and make that the first day in the park.
Families also almost always tend to take a break in the middle of the week and go back to the parks towards the end of their vacation on Friday and Saturday. The weekends also bring in Florida locals which can add to the crowds and this is especially true during the busier times of the year such as major holiday breaks.

The busiest days at Disney World tend to be Monday, Friday, and Saturday according to historical wait time data, and recent Disney World multi-pass prices.
If we want to break it down even further, each park has a set of the busiest days, which we can do here based on the last 12 months of historical data:
As you can see, Monday, Friday and Saturday are the most busy days across all four parks, but if you plan carefully, you can avoid these days. The primary reason that these tend to be the best days to visit is that many families go on week-long vacations at Disney, often starting their adventures on Monday. Another trend that amplifies the crowd size is the Florida locals’ preference. Many Floridians visit Disney World during the weekends.

Based off historical data of the last 12 months, it looks like you should avoid Wednesday and Monday, but try to plan Magic Kingdom for Friday or Sunday.
As a general rule of thumb, the busiest days at Magic Kingdom park tend to be Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The Magic Kingdom park is by far the most visited theme park in the world and one of the things that I learned when selling tickets here is that families love to start their vacation at this park on Monday and end it on Saturday.
It’s also important to note that The Magic Kingdom is the most popular Disney theme park during the holidays, specifically Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, and the Fourth of July weekend.
Based off historical data of the last 12 months, it looks like you should avoid Friday and Monday, but try to plan Epcot for Wednesday or Sunday. We find that if many families are visiting Magic Kingdom park on Monday they tend to lean towards visiting EPCOT on Tuesday which make it the busiest day based on wait time data. We also find that EPCOT is one of the most popular Disney World theme parks for Florida locals which make this park extremely busy on Saturday and Sundays as well. This is especially true when EPCOT is hosting one of the popular festivals.
Based off historical data of the last 12 months, it looks like you should avoid Friday and Thursday, but try to plan Hollywood Studios for Wednesday or Sunday. Hollywood Studios is the first Disney World park to have it’s busiest days include a Friday based on historical wait time data. As a general rule of thumb, we find this park to be the busiest during Monday, Friday, and Saturday. It’s also important to note that Hollywood Studios is the another popular Disney theme park during the holidays, specifically Christmas, and many Star Wars fans love to visit this park during the May the 4th weekend.
Based off historical data of the last 12 months, it looks like you should avoid Friday and Saturday, but try to plan Animal Kingdom for Wednesday or Thursday. Animal Kingdom is another park that guests love to visit in the middle of the week which make it so that Sunday, Monday and Saturday tend to be the busiest days to visit. We would also say that Animal Kingdom is another park which many guest start their day at and then usually park hop over to one of the other three Disney World theme parks which make this park busier during the early morning hours.

Ticket prices at Disney World are often a reflection of expected crowd levels, with cheaper tickets aligning with lower-demand days. Disney uses this pricing model to encourage guests to visit during slower periods
These days—Monday and Tuesday—are the best choices for both affordability and a less crowded experience. You can expect more budget-friendly ticket options with relatively lower crowd levels on these days compared to the rest of the week. However, as with all trends, it’s important to check the crowd calendar and keep an eye on ticket prices as they can fluctuate seasonally and based on specific events or promotions.
Disney World ticket prices often reflect anticipated crowd levels. Cheaper tickets typically align with lower-demand days. Here’s how the days rank for affordability based on historical trends:
Focus on Monday and Tuesday as budget-friendly options with potentially lighter crowds.
While Extended Evening Hours are a great perk for Deluxe Resort guests, these days often lead to higher crowds during the daytime. If EPCOT or another park is offering extra evening hours, consider visiting a different park during the day and park-hopping later if you qualify for the benefit.
Magic Kingdom can be less crowded during the day when hosting events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The park closes early on these days, which deters many visitors. While you’ll miss the fireworks, you’ll enjoy shorter wait times and a more relaxed atmosphere.
There are also After Hours events offered at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios that can allow super low waits and free snacks!
Festivals and holidays have a significant impact on crowd levels:
Plan around these events by visiting earlier in the week or during shoulder seasons.
