That’s one of the main reasons why Universal Orlando still has Marvel attractions, as it was included in the original agreement when Universal Orlando built Islands of Adventure before the Walt Disney Company purchased the Marvel franchise. Now it is important to note that Disney has since opened Marvels Avengers campus in Disneyland California, and in our opinion, the Disneyland Avengers Campus is the better of the two lands as it does have the newest technology.

Now that you understand which rides and Universal roller coasters can be found within Marvel Super Heroes Island you might be wondering, what is the best way to experience this part of Islands of Adventure with as little wait time as possible? And if you are only really visiting Islands of Adventure for the Marvel rides we always recommend to rope drop and arrive a half hour before the park opens. It’s important to note that during this time there is a good chance that Universal will have the park open for early park admission. However we want to actually do the opposite of what all guests are doing for early park admission, so if they are heading towards the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the VelociCoaster we want to go and line up to get into Marvel Super Heroes Island. This will allow you to be some of the first guests into this side of the park when the park officially opens and from our experience will allow you to get onto at least 2-3 of the Marvel rides within the first hour to hour and a half! For guests who do have early park admission, you can absolutely still go onto one or two of the EPA rides and still make it over to the Marvel area of the park to get on at least one ride with minimal wait.

Another popular question we receive is, which Marvel characters can I meet at Universals Super Heroes Island? And guests will be happy to know that they can meet Wolverine, Cyclops, Spider-Man, Storm, Rogue, Captain America, Green Goblin, and Dr. Doom all within Marvels Super Heroes Islands. For guests who are looking specifically for Spiderman, be sure to keep an eye out for his meet-and-greet located across from Dr. Dooms Fearfall and next to the Captain America Diner. This is also one of the photo opportunities included with the My Universal Photo Pass if you do decide to upgrade for your trip. Guests will also see Wolverine located to the right of the Amazing Adventure of Spiderman ride. In our opinion, one of the biggest obstacles to all of the Universal Orlando character’s meet and greets is that they can sometimes be unpredictable so we highly recommend asking a team member which Marvel characters they plan to have walking around for character meet and greets when you arrive that day.
