Guests can also bring any food required for medical purposes, dietary needs, baby food/formula, any medically indicated nutritional supplements, and up to 2 liters of water per person in non-glass containers. One of my favorite tips for visiting Universal Orlando on a budget is to use Instacart and get some snacks and other groceries delivered to my Universal Hotel once I arrive. Although it doesn’t officially state this, in the past, I have typically brought some small PB&J or turkey sandwiches, and some of our favorite snacks to bring are pretzels, potato chips, trail mix, granola bars, protein bars, and small cereal bags for the morning.
Universal states guests are allowed to bring soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5″ wide x 6″ high x 6″ deep. However, we typically bring a small backpack as it’s easier to travel with that from home and also to put them into the Universal lockers at some of the rides. In general, we should always try to avoid any food that needs to be kept cool for an extended period of time. Universal also has plenty of food options throughout the park and even released an amazing FREE dining promotion to help families save while planning their vacation.
