As mentioned above, currently there are now three main restaurants in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter which are The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade Village and The Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley. The third Harry Potter restaurant is now open at Epic Universe and is called Cafe L’air De La Sirene in the Ministry of Magic. All of these restaurants are open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. They offer quick service, which means that they do not take reservations. Seating is first-come, first-served.

The only exception to not having a reservation is for guests who upgrade to have The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Vacation Package and receive a dining voucher, which can be redeemed on specific days. The Three Broomsticks and The Leaky Cauldron offer up English fare, while Cafe L’air De La Sirene will be offering French-inspired cuisine. It’s also important to note that as we start our journey into Harry Potter World, we need to consider a couple of quick things. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is currently located in Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe. This means that it will be almost impossible to visit each of these restaurants within the same day.

For guests who want to visit the Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks, make sure you have a park-to-park ticket if you are to enjoy both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley in one day, and most importantly, to ride the Hogwarts Express, which connects the two. It is important to note that at this point, Universal Orlando Resorts is only opening up Epic Universe for a single-day park ticket options. Meaning that at this point, there is no option to go park-to-park between Epic Universe and any other park.

Dining in Diagon Alley 2025

Diagon Alley Universal Studios Orlando

You can find the Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. Below you will find every restaurant, snack bar and sweet shop at Diagon Alley:

The Leaky Cauldron

The Leaky Cauldron is simply one of the best Harry Potter restaurants in Universal Orlando Resort! It is a replica of the run-down old pub and inn with high ceilings and a million things to look at among the rafters, as well as various cubby holes throughout the restaurant. And for us, lunch is where it’s at! We’re talking traditional British fare like Bangers & Mash, Fish & Chips, and Shepherd’s Pasty Pie, all for around $20 each.

Our Must Try Food Items include Ploughman’s Platter for breakfast with scotch eggs, Bangers & Mash, Cottage Pie, Toad in a Hole is our favorite – the Guinness Stew is also a top dish.

There is a small, yet satisfying kids menu including macaroni and cheese, mini pies and fish and chips.

Do not leave without trying dessert, we’re talking Butterbeer Cream Puffs, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Potted Cream.

Tips and Tricks: The Leaky Cauldron is also a great place to start your day in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter by enjoying a hearty breakfast. The breakfast here is one you won’t want to miss. Typically opening around 9 AM (or early park admission), you can start your day off with filling and classic British fare, such as a Leek, Egg, and Mushroom Pasty, or stick with the more traditional American breakfast of Eggs, Sausage, and Roast Potatoes.

One of the most popular questions we receive is do you need dining reservations for The Leaky Cauldron? And the answer is no, it is considered a Quick Service Restaurant, so you do not need reservations to eat here. You can walk in, and the helpful witches and wizards will guide you through the ordering process.

However, if Dining at The Leaky Cauldron or The Three Broomsticks are a “MUST-SEE” on your list, you’re going to want to look into the amazing Universal vacation package! With the Universal Vacation Package, guests will actually be able to book a breakfast reservation at both the Leaky Cauldron and The Three Broomsticks. It’s important to note that these Harry Potter breakfast tickets are exclusive to this package, and it is the only time guests can make a reservation while dining in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Please reach out to us at The Park Prodigy to learn more about this vacation package.

Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour

When in Harry Potter World, one simply cannot miss the delightful experience of Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour, a renowned Harry Potter-themed snack shop. This charming establishment serves up a medley of exquisite ice cream flavors that are a nod to both the enchanting world of Harry Potter and traditional British tastes. Dive into iconic flavors like Butterbeer, indulge in the spicy thrill of Chocolate Chili, or savor the subtle notes of Earl Gray and Lavender. If your looking for something to remember your trip by, try the ice cream sundaes, which are served in a souvenir glass for $11.49. Don’t worry, they offer plenty of every-day flavors as well, all served in a waffle cone. Soft-serve $6.99 and Hard ice cream $7.99. Beyond ice cream, early risers who are not looking for a sit-down breakfast at The Leaky Cauldron can treat themselves to mouth-watering breakfast pastries, including crumble cake and shortbread.

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes

Look no further if you’re searching for Harry Potter treats at Universal. A step into this wild and crazy shop will immediately let you know that nothing is as it appears. Tricks and treats are hiding everywhere! A great purchase for a family who wants to experience the fun of Weasley treats directly from the world of Harry Potter is the Skiving Snackbox. The assortment of treats in this box can include Puking Pastilles, Fever Fudge, Nosebleed Nougat, and Fainting Fancies. All are delicious, and with none of the side effects as experienced by the Weasley Twins who were always testing out their items before serving them up.

Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop

Didn’t get enough treats at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes (or were perhaps a bit fearful of what to get)? Have no fear, this cute little shop will welcome you in and help you find all kinds of classic Harry Potter treats that are mostly just sweet. Cauldron cakes are served up in the bakery, and some classic candy like Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavor Beans and Exploding Bon Bons are lots of delicious, fun items to pick up from this shop to enjoy.

The Hopping Pot

If it’s time for some “adult beverages,” look no further than The Hopping Pot, one of the best beverage locations. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter drinks are truly from another world and are perfect for adults visiting Universal Orlando. This walk-up window provides a quick place to pick up traditional Harry Potter drinks like non-alcoholic concoctions such as the iced non-alcoholic Butterbeer and Tongue-tying Lemon Squash, while also providing alcoholic beverages like Wizard’s Brew and Dragon Scale beers. Grab a drink for everyone and find a nice seat on one of the picnic tables outside.

The Hopping Pot serves handheld snacks too like Shepherd’s Pasty Pie, Beef Pasties, as well as the must-try Butterbeer Ice Cream.

The Fountain of Fair Fortune

If the line is long at the Hopping Pot, stroll over to the Fountain of Fair Fortune to find many of the same Harry Potter beverages, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, but with often a much shorter line. This is a great place to get Butterbeer, which is a great treat for young Harry Potter fans.

We get asked this a lot! — Even though Butterbeer has the word “beer” in its name, there is not an alcoholic Butterbeer in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. And you have to try the frozen Butterbeer, as it’s our favorite! This is also a great spot for the highly popular Butterbeer ice cream. During the cold season, make sure to try hot butterbeer too!

Are you an early bird and trying to visit the Harry Potter restaurants with no crowds? As a “theme park expert” on The Today Show, Mike shared that you should always take advantage of early park admission whenever possible! Be sure to check out our Universal Orlando early park admission tickets. Not only will you be some of the first guests into the theme parks to enjoy the shops, but you’ll also be able to get onto some of the most popular rides with very little to no wait. We find this to be a great advantage when visiting Universal in just a few days.

Also, if dining within the Wizarding World is a MUST on your to-do list, we would suggest a Harry Potter Vacation Package, which is the only way you can make a reservation within the Harry Potter restaurants.

Hog’s Head Pub

This bar, located in the back of Three Broomsticks, is another great place to grab both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. And if the hog’s head above the bar snarls at you, it’s just his way of saying Hello! Typically, we have seen the line for this bar be shorter than the butterbeer carts located around Hogsmeade.

This Harry Potter Bar has a secret menu! Hogs Head Universal has special alcoholic beverages for those witches and wizards brave enough to try them! Be sure to ask your bartender what they can whip up. Some of our alcoholic favorites are: The Hogs Head Brew, The Wizard’s Brew, Dragon Scale Beer, The Deathly Hallows Drink (fire whiskey), and The Hogs Tea. These are specifically brewed for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – meaning you cannot find these brews anywhere else in the world!

Honeydukes

If you didn’t get enough dessert at Three Broomsticks, head to Wizarding World of Harry Potter Honeydukes to pick up some fun, sweet treats to go. Much like the Sweetshop in Diagon Alley, this fun little candy store offers up items like exploding bonbons and fizzing whizzbees. You can also get a Harry Potter classic like chocolate frogs You might not know exactly what to expect based on the names, but you can bet you’ll have a lot of fun finding out.

Dining in the Ministry of Magic

ministry-of-magic-epic

Entering by the Floo Network, the Ministry of Magic will incorporate 1920’s Paris with 1990’s UK, therefore, we can expect both the traditional British fare we have come to love, and now for the first time in the Wizarding World we can experience French inspired cuisine brought to us directly from Paris of The Fantastic Beasts series. We are super excited to share that there will be three new quick-service dining options available at The Ministry of Magic. While menu options are still not available on the official Universal Orlando Resort site, we have been given a “taste” of what we can look forward to in May 2025 and we will dive in below.

As always, The Park Prodigy is here to help! At this time, Epic Universe plans to offer single-park admission tickets only, and will not participate in park-to-park tickets. This means that planning will be key in getting to see everything this new park has to offer! Start planning your vacation to Universal’s Epic Universe!

Cafe L’air De La Sirene

As the cuisine will range from the beloved British fare we have come to expect from the Wizarding World, the Ministry of Magic promises French-inspired cuisine as well. Starting with an indoor/outdoor quick service restaurant, Cafe L’air De La Sirene, which will bring us breakfast, lunch, and dinner comprised of French baked goods, sandwiches, larger plates, and desserts. Also, not only the non-alcoholic beverages we have come to love within the Harry Potter world, but also French cocktails and French wines. If you are looking for new adult beverages within the Wizarding World, this is sure to be a do-not-miss!

Cafe L’air De La Sirene will bring some new French-inspired dishes, including Baguette de Dinde, a French baguette covered with zesty mustard and apple butters, cracked black pepper turkey, and brie. As well as, Quiche Lorraine, an egg custard baked in flaky pie crust, filled with bacon, gruyere cheese, caramelized onions and a mornay sauce.

And with the entire Wizarding World just exploding with every kind of Butterbeer-flavored item you could think of, what else could we expect from a French-inspired restaurant but Butterbeer Crepes? Will this be sure to top the new treats for the season, including the Butterbeer Cream Puff and the Butterbeer Candy Bar? Possibly! This dish includes a crepe filled with shortbread cookie butter Bavarian creme, Butterbeer cream, and fresh strawberries with a Butterbeer drizzle. If that doesn’t sound like something Ron Weasley would stuff his face with, then I don’t know what does!

Le Goblet Noir

Le Goblet Noir is a quick service restaurant for those witches and wizards who lean towards dark magic. You can find this small pub within the shadowy corners of Paris streets. One of the main dishes offered at Le Goblet Noir is the Alchemist’s Platter, which includes a large spread of smoked sausage, potato and cheese pierogies, and pickled eggs, beets, caramelized onions, and a warm pretzel, all served with a zesty German mustard and cheese fondue. Also, a vegan option of Lentil Stew, including vegan bacon and root vegetables, served with bread.

Bar Moonshine

A dedicated American bar within the streets of Paris, Bar Moonshine provides American cocktails, beers and wines. The American cocktail, Fleur 75, is sure to be tasty as a flute of sparkling wine topped with gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Patrons can also find non-alcoholic beverages like our beloved Butterbeer. If you want to know all the details about the upcoming opening of Universal’s Epic Universe, look no further!

Harry Potter Restaurant Tips & Tricks 2025

Use Early Park Admission

All guests receive early park admission when they purchase their multi-day Universal Orlando tickets from The Park Prodigy! This will allow guests to beat the crowds and grab a quick bite at some of their favorite carts or restaurants in Harry Potter World. Guests will also have access to any open early-admission restaurants near Harry Potter World.

Eat at Off-peak Times

Arrive at the dining room early! At our last meal at the Three Broomsticks, the line was already pretty long at 10:30 am, which is the time they switch from a Wizarding English breakfast to lunch. However, we got seated at a table inside fairly quickly since it was on the early side to eat lunch. If you go around noon or 1 pm, you may be waiting a bit since that is the most popular time for lunch.

Don’t miss Breakfast! We prefer the breakfast menu at the Wizarding World restaurants with the filling pancake breakfast, which includes fluffy buttermilk pancakes, crisp bacon, sausage links and a butter croissant. It is a very filling meal and if you’re feeling daring you can try the Traditional English breakfast with Fresh scrambled eggs, sausage links, black pudding, English bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms, and breakfast potatoes.

Consider a Wizarding World of Harry Potter Vacation Package

Harry Potter Restaurant Universal FAQ

f-a-q

Q: Can you make a reservation at the Harry Potter Restaurants in Universal?

A: The simple answer is – unfortunately, you cannot make a Harry Potter restaurant reservation if you are purchasing a regular Universal Orlando park ticket. However, we find it important to note that any die-hard Harry Potter fan who books an exclusive Wizarding World of Harry Potter vacation package will receive an opportunity to make a breakfast reservation at the Three Broomsticks and/or the Leaky Cauldron! Guests can learn more about everything that is included in this amazing package on our website or by speaking with one of our Universal travel experts!

Q: Can you purchase Harry Potter breakfast tickets?

Yes, there are specific Harry Potter breakfast tickets that will grant you a reservation at one of the Harry Potter restaurants. These tickets do need to be added onto specific Universal Orlando tickets and package products. You can do this by speaking with a Universal travel agent like The Park Prodigy!

Q: What are the Harry Potter World food prices like?

A: Well, you’re still in a theme park, so they’re going to be pricier than non-theme park food. However, we found most times, the servings are large and easily splitable. A good example is the Chicken and Ribs Platter at Three Broomsticks. While it’s almost $20, it could easily be split between two people.

Q: Is there alcoholic butterbeer?

A: No. Much like root beer, the beer part of the name does not indicate alcohol. All butterbeers are non-alcoholic. If you’d like to pack a little punch in your butterbeer, might we suggest you buy a shot of fireball whiskey and mix it in? That should warm you up!

Q: Will I get ill from items in the Skiving Snackbox from Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes?

A: With names like Puking Pastilles and Fainting Fancies, you might think you would, but it’s all in fun, and each item is an actual type of candy. Puking Pastilles are a hard candy, and Fainting Fancies are similar to fruit gummies.

Q: Where can I find the Wizarding World of Harry Potter food menus?

A: Since menus change often, we suggest you check out https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/things-to-do/dining/ for current offerings and pricing.

Q: What is the best place to eat at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

A: Well, to be fair, we really can’t answer that for you. Each place is extremely creative and guaranteed to make you feel like you have stepped into the movie or book. And each place provides creative yet authentic, delicious food for its guests. Our advice? Try them all and see for yourself!

Q: Can you eat in Hogwarts Castle at Universal?

A: Unfortunately, there is no restaurant inside Hogwarts, but there is a quick service in the village at the base. Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant in Harry Potter called The Three Broomsticks.
