As of 2024, the only way to ride Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure is through the regular Universal Orlando standby line, Universal single-rider line, or Universal Orlando VIP Experience. At this point in time, Universal Orlando is not currently running Hagrid’s virtual queue system, nor is this ride included with the Universal Express Pass. What is the best way to ride Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure?

Generally, we typically find the best way to ride Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure is during early park admission or late evening right before the park closes. The main reason is that Hagrid’s is the most popular ride in Islands of Adventure, and the average wait time will typically be well above 90 minutes. However, we have found that guests who take advantage of early park admission can reduce this wait time to 20 minutes or less. On the flip side, guests who jump on this line right before the park closes can typically reduce their wait time to 45 minutes or less.

Does Hagrid close early?

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure does not close early to park guests. So, as discussed, another great way to get on this ride with minimal wait is to get in line a few minutes before the park closes. The main reason is you are allowed to enter a line right up until the park closes, and by that time, many families would have already gone back to their hotel, which will result in a lower wait.

When is the Best Time of Day to Ride Hagrid’s?

From our experience, the best time to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures motorbike adventure is first thing in the morning during early park admission or the last night ride. The reason is that wait times can reach well over two hours during the later morning and early afternoon hours. So, as you can see, having the correct game plan can save you tremendous time. For this reason, we will almost always recommend that any of our clients taking advantage of Early Park Admission with our multi-day tickets or vacation packages arrive at the parks one hour before EPA even starts. Although you will have to wait an hour for the park to open, it is better to wait during this time instead of waiting in line once the day has officially started.

Getting into the park before regular admission guests will give you a one-up on entering the line for Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure first. We always recommend arriving one hour before early park admission even starts, and you will be some of the firsts guests to get onto this attraction. Early Park Admission allows you to be one of the first guests in line and possibly ride an attraction right after! We highly recommend using this technique to get on Hagrid’s.

Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure Express Pass

Another popular question we receive is, is there an express pass for Hagrid’s Motorbike? And no, there is no Express Pass for Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure at this point in time. In fact this is one of the main reasons why we love to visit this attraction during early park admission, and this is especially true for families who might be staying at one of the Universal hotels with free Express Passes. Guests can take advantage of Hagrid’s during the extra hour and then focus on all of the rides, which include the Express Pass, later in the day to save the most time possible.

Does the express pass work on Hagrid’s?

Unfortunately, Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure is not included on the Universal Express Pass.

When will Hagrid’s get Express Passes?

Another popular question we have been receiving is when Hagrid’s will get Express Passes. As of now, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure still does not offer Express Pass access. However, it is important to note that this could change, just like when Universal decided to add the VelociCoaster to the Universal Express Pass.

Hagrid’s Single Rider Line at Universal Orlando

Another popular question is whether Hagrid’s has single-rider lines. And, yes, Hagrid’s does have a single rider line but it’s important to note that there is no guarantee that Universal will always be running the single rider line. We have also had mixed experiences using the Hagrid’s single-rider line and have found that sometimes it will save us time and other times this option can actually be longer than waiting on the regular standby line. However, when it is still operating, we do find this to be a great fit for families who are visiting and might only have one guest who would like to check out this ride.

Is single rider line faster for Hagrid’s?

As a general rule of thumb, the Hagrid’s single rider line is faster than the regular standby line. The main reason is that it does not allow your entire group to go on the ride together, and Universal is quickly filling empty seats at the attraction with single riders.

Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure With the Universal VIP Experience

Outside of early park admission, another one of the quickest ways to ride Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure is to upgrade to the Universal Orlando VIP Experience. Guests who purchase the VIP Experience will receive front-of-the-line access to all of their favorite Universal Orlando rides, including Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. For this reason, we find it a great option for families considering purchasing the Universal Express Pass only to find out that Hagrid’s was not included. We would say that the most important thing to understand when purchasing the VIP Experience to ride Hagrid’s is that guests who purchase the regular VIP experience will be allowed to ride this attraction one time with their group; however, guests who purchase the private VIP Experience will be allowed to ride Hagrid’s as many times as they would like!

Can you skip the line at Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure?

The only way to officially skip the line at Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure is by upgrading your ticket to the Universal Orlando VIP experience.  It’s also important to note that with the private Universal Orlando VIP tour, guests can enjoy Hagrid’s as many times as they would like without waiting!

It’s important to note that we have not seen Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure virtual queue in a few years, and there is no official word if Universal Orlando plans to bring this back to the parks. However, if they do, guests should be sure to keep an eye out for signs upon entrance with a QR code, which they can scan to join the virtual queue system.

Is Hagrid’s Open For Early Park Admission?

Yes, as discussed, one of the best ways to take advantage of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure with little waiting is to use Universal Orlando Early Admission. Early Admission allows guests to enter the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. So that means when Universal has Islands of Adventure open for these early hours, guests can ride Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure before regular guests even enter the park. Not to mention that guests can hop over to the Jurassic Park section of the park to go on the VelociCoaster right after!
