Super Nintendo World Orlando will have three cutting-edge rides – Donkey Kong Minecart Madness, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, and Yoshi’s Adventure. These rides already exist in Japan and are super fun for kids and adults looking to visit. We loved the Mario Kart ride as it was so immersive and truly felt like you were in the video game yourself. However, Minecart Madness is the most popular attraction in all of Universal Studios Japan with an average wait time for 164 minutes! We can’t wait to see what the hype is all about.

Yes, one of the features coming to Super Mario Land at Universal Studios Orlando will be the Power Up bands, which allow guests to enjoy interactive games. You have to buy a Power Up Band, to get access the the activities in Super Nintendo World. Which, you’ll want to do to collect coins and top the leaderboards! Super Nintendo World Power-Up Band costs around $40 plus tax in Universal Studios Hollywood, so we assume that the price will be around the same when they come to Florida.
These Power Up Bands allow you to participate in virtual-reality experiences through mini-games mini-games and physical challenges while in the park, like Goomba Crazy Crank and Koopa Troopa Power Punch. You can choose from six designs based on the Super Nintendo characters – Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, and Yoshi. Once you have your Power-Up band, you register it to your Universal Studios app, which allows you to keep track of your progress while you journey through the Mushroom Kingdom.

The dining options in Super Nintendo World will blow you away with adorable theming and great taste. When we visited Toadstool Cafe in Hollywood, we were blown away by the theming – with little Toads cooking meals around us on screens and above-average theme park food! We have high expectations for what is coming to Super Nintendo Orlando for restaurants.
Universal released a sneak peek of some of the exciting food items coming to Super Nintendo World Epic Universe. Below is a list of the items we are most excited to try.
Universal does a great job with character meet and greets, and that hasn’t changed with Super Nintendo World. Luckily for us, there will be a handful of Mario characters that will be featured in Orlando and Super Mario World Universal Studios Hollywood.
We officially met Toad in Super Nintendo Hollywood this past summer and loved it. So we highly recommend this meet and greet!
