The Single-Pass Lightning Lanes at Disney World allow you to pay to skip the line at a specific ride in each park. While a Lightning Lane Multi-Pass grants you access to skip the stand-by line on multiple rides throughout your day. The current Disney World Lightning Lane Multi-Pass rides are Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Tron Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy at EPCOT, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios, and Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom.

The Lightning Lane Single Pass rides tend to be some of the most popular rides in the parks, with all of them having an average wait of 56 minutes on any given day. For that reason, we highly suggest that you book your single-pass attraction as soon as your booking window opens up. The current Lightning Lane Single Pass window opens up at 7 AM seven days before your first day in the park for on-site Disney World hotel guests and 3 days for off-site guests.

Lightning Lane Single-Passes can range anywhere from $11-$25 per person, per ride. It’s important to note that the exact price that you pay will fluctuate based on the day, time of year, and which ride you are purchasing the Lightning Lane for. But on the plus side, you can now see exactly how much the pass will be in advance! On the Disney World App, you’re able to look at how much the Disney World Multi Pass and Single Pass will be up to three weeks ahead of time.

When Do Single Pass Lightning Lanes Go on Sale?

  • Disney World Resort Hotel Guests: 7 days before the first day of your visit at 7 a.m. EST
  • Guests Not Staying at a Disney Resort Hotel: 3 days before the first day of your visit at 7 a.m. EST
  • International Guests outside of the USA and Canada: 3 days before the first day of your visit at 7 a.m. EST even if you’re staying at an official Disney Resort Hotel.

Can You Buy Two Single Pass Lightning Lanes at Once?

You can purchase two Single-Pass Lightning Lanes per day, but they have to be two different rides. So if you’re looking to purchase a pass for TRON in the morning and TRON again in the evening, the app won’t let you. You can, however, purchase one for TRON in the morning and Guardians: Cosmic Rewind in the evening.

Do Single-Pass Lightning Lanes sell out?

Yes, almost all five of the single-pass lightning lanes will sell out at some point throughout the day, but more often than not, in advance. So if you do have your heart set on using any of these single lightning lane rides we suggest making your lightning lane reservations as early as possible!

Can you book Single Pass and Multi-Pass Lightning Lanes at the same time?

Yes! When your booking window opens to pre-book your return times and ride selections, you can easily purchase both passes on the same screen! This takes away the added pressure of booking your single-pass first in fear of it selling out by the time you’re done with the multi-pass purchase.
