How to Make Dining Reservations at Universal Orlando Resort

As discussed above, there are currently three ways to make advanced dining reservations at Universal Orlando, which are directly on the official Universal Orlando website, through the Universal Orlando app, or by calling 407-224-3663. It’s important to note that guests using the official Universal Orlando website or app will need to have a username and login, so we always recommend signing up as soon as possible. Guests will also be happy to know that they can make their dining reservations 6 months in advance, and we highly recommend making them as early as possible, especially for any of the full-service restaurants at Epic Universe. All current reservations can then be tracked through the Universal Orlando app upon signing in.

Upon making your dining reservation guests can also make note if they will be celebrating any special occasions. This is also where guests can let the restaurant know of any dining allergies that they need to be aware of. Be sure to enter your phone number to receive reminders and alerts as you get closer to your reservation.

As a general rule of thumb, we would always make reservations at Mythos, Bigfire, and Antojitos, as they tend to be some of the most popular restaurants. Full-Service Restaurants that Require Dining Reservations

As discussed above, there are a number of full-service restaurants that guests can choose from when making dining reservations. These restaurants are spread out between all four of the Universal Orlando theme parks, Universal CityWalk as well as the official Universal Orlando hotels. It’s important to note that the very popular Wizarding World of Harry Potter restaurants are considered quick service and do not take reservations at this time. Also, the official Universal Orlando dining plan has been on hold since 2021, and we do not believe Universal has any plans to bring it back.

Full-service restaurants within the Universal Orlando Parks that require reservations

There are two dining locations at each of the Universal Orlando theme parks offering advanced dining reservations. Don’t forget, if you’re looking to dine in the park, valid theme park admission is required even if you have a reservation. As we said above, bookings can be made online or by calling 407-224-FOOD (3663). Unfortunately, there are no sit-down restaurants at Volcano Bay at this time.

Guests can also pre-purchase vouchers for the very popular Marvel Character Diner in Islands of Adventure or breakfast with the Grinch, which is popular during the Holidays. The important thing to keep in mind is although Universal will give you a return time, it’s a traditional reservation in which guests might still have to wait to be seated.
