#8 – Journey into Imagination with Figment

rides at epcot 2022

Location: Imagination Pavilion, World Celebration

Height Requirement: N/A

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Duration: About 6 minutes

Type of Ride: Silly, fun dark ride

Important to know: Journey into Imagination might be an older classic but it’s still a fun ride! If you’re on the fence about visiting EPCOT with small kids, just know that attractions like Figment rarely have a high wait time which makes it perfect for little ones not able to wait in longer queues. At the end of the attraction, you’ll find the WhatIf Labs, which is an interactive kids’ play area. There are also unique character meet and greets that happen inside with Joy and Vanellope. Figment is one of the best EPCOT rides and shouldn’t be skipped!

#7 – Spaceship Earth

spaceship-earth

Location: World Celebration

Height Requirement: N/A

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Duration: About 15 minutes

Type of Ride: Slow, dark, educational

Important to know: Located in the geosphere when you first enter Epcot, this slow-moving attraction takes you on a journey through time—from the beginning of mankind to where we stand today with modern advances in technology and communication. If you have teens in your group, Spaceship Earth isn’t going to wow them. But it’s great for families with little ones who might not be tall enough to ride the “big kid” rides. Or if you’re an adult looking to get some AC and sit for a while!  we highly recommend hopping onto Spaceship Earth for the true Epcot experience.

#6 – Living With The Land

Location: The Land Pavilion, World Nature

Height Requirement: N/A

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Duration: About 15 minutes

Type of Ride: Gentle, educational boat ride

Important to know: Aboard your open-air boat, you’ll learn about nature, farming, and how mankind has affected all of it. There is nothing like a ride where you can kick back and relax, which is why Living with the Land is one of the best rides at EPCOT. We like to relax and take a load off on this ride in the middle of the day when the Florida heat is at its worst. This attraction is also considered one of the best EPCOT center rides during Christmas time at Disney World with a fantastic holiday overlay!

#5 Soarin’ Around The World

Location: The Land Pavilion, World Nature

Height Requirement: 40 inches

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Duration: About 15 minutes

Type of ride: High-in-the-sky hang gliding simulation ride

Important to know: This immersive attraction will lift you above the clouds with breathtaking views while you tour the globe. While Soarin’ is a simulation ride, guests are still lifted rather high off the ground, which can be frightening for some guests. For the best view of the big screen, try to sit in row two of the second section. You may have some feet dangling in your view, but you’ll be front and center for the show. The other seats are still great options but since the screen is so large, some of the scenes can get warped and cause motion sickness. Soarin’ is one of the most popular rides at EPCOT, and the queue can be brutal if you don’t time it right, so make sure to rope drop Soarin’ or use the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a better experience.

#4 – Frozen Ever After

Location: Norway Pavilion, World Showcase

Height Requirement: N/A

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Duration: About 5 minutes

Type of ride: Slow-moving boat ride with a small drop

Important to know: Frozen Ever After combines a thrilling yet kid-friendly boat ride with a song-filled journey to Elsa’s ice palace. The queue inside is absolutely beautiful, and it feels like you’re a guest visiting Arendelle. The whole vibe of the Frozen Ever After ride is magical, even if you’re probably going to leave a little wet from a small drop on the ride. Frozen Ever After is one of the most popular rides EPCOT has, so expect the standby line to be long.

#3 – Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

how-to-get-remy-boarding-pass

Location: France Pavilion, World Showcase

Height Requirement: N/A

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Duration: About 5 minutes

Type of ride: Dashing, rat-sized 3D adventure through Paris

Important to know: The France pavilion at EPCOT now features Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Guests will shrink to the size of Chef Remy and race through Gusteau’s restaurant on a wild adventure. This attraction is a copy of the popular Disneyland Paris attraction and continues to be extremely popular! This attraction utilizes 3D elements with practical effects and set pieces. Along with its popularity, the ride system may need to be reset to keep everything on time with the effects which can cause high wait times. We suggest either rope-dropping this ride or using a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for this ride. Try not to wait over an hour for this ride if you can help it!

#2 – Test Track

Location: World Discovery

Height Requirement: 40 inches

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Duration: About 4 minutes

Type of ride: Fast, coaster-type experience

Important to know: As the fastest ride at Walt Disney World, Test Track allows riders to create their unique vehicle and “test” it when the ride begins. Holding six people per car, this attraction goes through a series of stops, turns, and hardcore breaking before making a speedy lap outside of the attraction building. If you’re in a pinch for time, you can utilize the single-rider line if you’re okay with your group splitting up to enjoy the attraction. Just know you won’t get to build your particular SIM vehicle, but you’ll get on the ride much faster, which we think is better.

#1 – Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Location: Wonders of Xandar Pavilion, World Discovery

Height Requirement: 42 inches

Lightning Lane Option: Lightning Lane Single Pass

Duration: About 4 minutes

Type of ride: Rotating, high-speed coasting

Important to know: Hop aboard a rotating coaster that will take you to the stars with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Riders will get one of six random songs to rock along to during their ride and try to survive a battle against another Marvel supervillain! Guardians of the Galaxy is truly the best ride at EPCOT. But with that being said, it is not meant for those who get motion sick easily. Some guests who have ridden this attraction have spent the rest of their day sick! So we want to warn you not to chance it if you’ve had issues in the past. With that being said, our team LOVES this ride and catches a virtual queue any chance they can for this top attraction at EPCOT.
