Let’s start with the most common question we receive on this topic which is, are Universal hotels pet friendly? And on average half of the official Universal Studios hotels are pet friendly. The Universal Orlando hotels that allow pets are the Universal Hard Rock Resort, Universal Loews Royal Pacific Hotel, Universal Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. That means all of the Premier Resorts are Universal Studios pet friendly hotels 2025.
It’s important to note that Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal Endless Summer Resort are not pet-friendly at this time. Pets under 75 lbs. are welcome at the participating Universal Orlando hotels. You’ll also find that only certain category rooms are available for the pet program. Club rooms do not currently participate in the Universal Orlando pet program. There is also a pet friendly Universal Orlando hotel that does have a one-time pet fee of $100.00.

Pet friendly hotels at Universal Studios Florida charge a one-time fee of $100 to bring your furry friend along on your vacation. However all guests must supervise their pets at all times while on hotel property. Any pets left unattended in their rooms who do have to be supervised due to loud barking will be charged a $10 per hour time-out fee. So, it is important to keep in mind that while you can book Universal Studios Orlando pet friendly hotels, you will have that extra fee to budget in.
Yes, all participating Universal Orlando hotels offer a pet program for an additional fee to provide a red-carpet experience for your pet. Each pet will receive a personal note from the hotel’s GM which includes a listing of current pet services available at the Universal Hotel including a map of the area with dog-walking routes highlighted. Also, every dog or cat receives welcome gifts such as a name tag, bowl, or special treats. Another aspect that we simply love about the Loews loves pets program, is that there is a pet room-service menu, along with a list of local pet services, veterinarians, groomers, and pet-friendly areas around the hotel. In the guest room is a special amenity that includes special pet place mats with food and water bowls, toys and treats, and a “pet in room” sign that lets housekeeping know that a pet is in the room.

All Universal resorts are owned by Loews hotels which is great for guests who want to bring their pets! The Hard Rock Hotel is one of the best Universal Hotel pet friendly rooms for guests visiting.
Hard Rock Hotel Pet Fee – a one-time fee of $100
Pet-Friendly Room Type – Pet-friendly rooms at the Hard Rock are non-smoking garden view rooms only. Garden-view rooms can run you around $500 per night.
Pet limit – 2 pets per room are allowed at the Hard Rock Hotel. Cats and dogs are both allowed in these rooms up to 75 lbs.

The Universal Value and Prime Value resorts are not pet-friendly. Starting with the value resorts, the Universal Endless Summer Resort pet policy is that there are no pets allowed.
