This article is your complete guide to how many days you need at Epic Universe! As an Orlando local who visits Epic Universe constantly, I believe you need to give yourself one full day to visit Epic Universe. But what I believe is most important is that you need to make sure that the park is open for at least 12 hours on the day that you are visiting to make sure that this is enough time. The reason is that there are eleven rides at Epic Universal and two shows. The average wait time spread across all 11 rides in 2026 has been 53 minutes per ride. This means that the average family will wait 9 hours and 43 minutes to go on all eleven rides. Throw in the two shows, and you can see why we are suggesting that you make sure that the park is going to be open for 12 hours on your visit, and unfortunately there are times in the fall of 2026 where the park is only open from 10 AM to 7 PM or 8 PM. So if this is the case, you might need to give yourself two days to visit.

I believe one of the most important things you need to understand when figuring out how many days you need at Epic Universe is what the park hours are. The park hours and the number of rides and shows you want to see will actually help you figure out how many days you need at Epic Universe. In our opinion, on days when the park is open for 12 hours or more, you should only need one day to go on all eleven attractions and see every show. The reason is that the 2026 wait time data for the eleven rides at Epic Universe have averaged 53 minutes per ride in 2026 so far. So the average family looking to go on every single ride will stand in line for 9 hours and 45 minutes. This doesn’t even include either of the two shows or lunch or dinner. So, as you can see, one day technically is enough to see and do it all, but this is assuming that everything goes absolutely perfectly in your day.
So we do believe giving yourself at least one and a half days with a park-to-park ticket or two full days is the safest bet for a lot of families. This will also allow you to get a feel for what you like on your first day and have a chance to double down on any of your favorite rides on your second visit. We also believe that, given the time of year that you are visiting, if the parks are open from 10 AM to 7 PM or 8 PM, you also might simply need to give yourself two days out of necessity.
It’s important to note that if you only have one day there are specific ways to give yourself an advantage on the day, with our favorite being early park admission. The reason is that guests who have early park admission to Epic Universe gain an extra hour in the park in the morning. We have documented time and time again that when you use this hour the right way, you can easily get on 2-3 of the most popular rides in the park, which will give you a huge advantage in getting all eleven rides done. Some of the other ways to try to get through as many rides as possible are to upgrade to the Universal Express Pass; however, this is going to be a substantial investment in your day, as it typically will cost more than your admission tickets. You will also see that a lot of times it’s actually cheaper to simply spend two days at Epic compared to buying a one-day ticket plus the Express Pass. But Universal has recently released a more affordable but less reliable option, Universal Express Now, which guests can sometimes purchase the Express Pass for one ride at a time. And last but not least, we can’t forget about the Universal Orlando single rider line.
Another important aspect that could impact how many days you decide to spend at Epic Universe is the park tickets you can buy. The reason is that most of the ticket options for Epic Universe for less than three days only include one day at Epic. For example, you can purchase a one-day Epic Universe ticket or a two-day Universal Orlando ticket, which allows you one visit to Epic Universe. However, you will find is that once you purchase a 3-day or more Universal ticket, you can use more than one day to visit Epic Universe. So, for example, you can visit Islands of Adventure your first day and Epic Universe your second and third. But if you only wanted to visit Epic Universe twice, you would realistically have to purchase two one-day Epic Universe tickets.

As discussed above, there is no one-size-fits-all for every family. Different factors can impact exactly how many days you might need at Epic Universe.
