Disney World Crowd Calendar 2021
Disney resort fun runs are planned running (or walking) activities at various hotels throughout Disney World property. These are great opportunities for guests who would love to run through their favorite Walt Disney World hotels without the pricey sign up fee as Rundisney!
The average Disney family Fun run is a 3 K or 1.86 mils depending on the running trail near that resort. These can be a great way to start your day with a morning run and see parts of the Disney hotels you have never seen before.
The fun runs at Disney hotels are relatively new and even some cast members are not familiar with them so be sure to ask at the front desk upon checking in for an update. These are not to be confused with the long runs at Disney World which take place during Run Disney weekends.
Very often! Most resorts host their Disney 5k family fun runs on a weekly basis except the All Stars, Fort Wilderness and the Ploynesian. The All Stars Resorts are every other week, and Fort Wilderness and Polynesian have theirs during major holiday seasons. Before planning on attending a Disney fun run, be sure to give the resort a call in advance or check the Disney activities calendar at the resort for dates and times. Furthermore, the only time of year when fun runs are not scheduled is during RunDisney race weekends. For more specific information, head over to RunDisney.com.
Anyone can participate in Disney Resort fun runs! Even if you’re not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you’re certainly still welcome to attend. There is also no age requirement and children under the age of three are free.
You can register the morning of your Disney fun run, typically between 30 and 60 minutes before the scheduled run begins.
Yes, Disney CAN put a price tag on exercise! And they do. Each resort fun run race will cost you $15 to sign up. But we think it’s totally worth the splurge!
Just like many races, Disney Fun Runs will typically not be canceled if there is a little rain. However this is entirely up to the Disney Cast member hosting the event and if he does feel like the weather is unsafe for runners the race might be canceled. Disney will always put the safety of it’s guests first and this is especially true for any running events.
