When is the Best Time to Visit Disney World During Christmas 2025?

The best time to visit Walt Disney World during Christmas will be the first two weeks of December. If I had to pick one between the two, I would always lean towards the second week of December as most families are waiting for the start of the official Christmas break to vacation. You will even see that Disney believes this to be true as 3-day ticket prices starting the second week of December are $474, compared to $484 for the first week, which means they anticipate slightly higher crowds during that first week. On the flip side, it’s also important to mention that Disney decorates for Christmas in early November, so you have two full months to enjoy the holidays in the parks.

What are the best weeks to visit Disney World during Christmas?

• December 8th, 2025 to December 15th, 2025
• December 1st, 2025 to December 7th, 2025

We usually take our Christmas trip during these two weeks and have always had a great time! Plus, the weather is great – hot too hot. This is also going to be some of the best dates to visit Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

How Busy is Disney World During Christmas 2025?

Disney World is very busy and crowded during the Christmas season. In fact, after looking at the wait time data, December is the third busiest month throughout the entire year at Walt Disney World, right behind March and April. However, we would say that the biggest crowds during December will be in the last two weeks of the month and are by far some of the busiest days in Disney during the entire year, with 10/10 crowd levels on our Disney World crowd calendar. Everyone wants to see the holiday decorations and visit this magical time of the year! So, as discussed above, if you are planning a trip to Disney during Christmas, we always recommend visiting during the first two weeks.

All parks will be busy but Magic Kingdom and EPCOT especially. This is because Magic Kingdom is home to those iconic Disney Nutcrackers, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. EPCOT is a great park to visit during the holiday season because of the Festival of the Holidays. This is a holiday event that is actually included in your EPOCT park ticket which is really nice. If you want to experience a Disney park with slightly lower crowds during the holiday season, we would suggest Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Although it doesn’t have as much as the other parks during the day (Jollywood Nights is a seperate ticketed event), it does have some awesome holiday decor and special treats.

Is Disney World busy on Christmas Day?

Disney World is very busy on Christmas Day and almost always reaches full capacity at Magic Kingdom Park. For this reason, it has been given a 10 out of 10 grading on our Orlando crowd calendar, and we almost always recommend arriving at the parks as early as possible if visiting during the holidays.

Christmas week crowds are by far the highest. At Magic Kingdom Park, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party ends on Decemeber 22nd then the Christmas firework show at Cinderella castle is shown nightly during this very busy Christmas week. If you are visiting Walt Disney World on Christmas Day, we would suggest Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park for the lowest crowds.
