This article is your complete guide to Universal Studios Orlando tickets with Express Pass. Universal offers several ways to bundle park tickets with Express Pass, but the options can be confusing. Multi-day, two-park “park-to-park” tickets sometimes include an Unlimited Express Pass for each day of your visit. However, there isn’t a one-day ticket that comes with Express Pass—you’ll need to buy your park ticket and Express Pass separately if you’re only visiting for a single day. Another option is to stay at one of Universal’s Signature Collection hotels, which includes a free two-park Express Pass during your stay. Keep in mind that none of these options currently include admission to Epic Universe or its Express Pass. Currently, Universal Orlando only sells multi-day Universal Orlando combo tickets, which include admission and the Universal Express pass for each day in the parks. This ticket type is sold for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days and provides a usage window for guests to use the tickets. It’s important to note that our discount combo tickets are only being sold as 2-park park-to-park tickets with admission to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. The multi-day combo tickets are also only sold with the unlimited express pass. For this reason, this ticket type might not be the best fit for families looking to visit Universal Orlando for one day or who are specifically visiting to go to the brand new park Epic Universe.
One of the things that complicates the Universal Orlando combo tickets is that they are only sold with the park-to-park option as well as the unlimited express pass. Some guests might feel like they are overpaying if they only need the base option or regular Universal Express; however, they are typically still the better deal compared to purchasing those items separately for more than one day. It’s also typically still cheaper to purchase the 2-park, 2-day Universal Orlando express combo with express pass and the one-day Volcano Bay tickets separately whenever using the express pass for more than one day.

There are three ways to get Express Pass access at Universal Orlando. Which one is right for you depends on how many days you’re visiting and where you’re staying.
The most cost-effective route for most visitors. A 2-to-5-day park-to-park combo ticket with Unlimited Express Pass gives you express access on every day of your visit at a bundled price that’s significantly lower than buying them separately. This is the option we recommend for the majority of families and guests visiting for more than one day.
Guests staying at select Universal Orlando on-site hotels receive complimentary Unlimited Express Pass as a perk of their stay. This is one of the best perks in all of theme park travel — particularly for longer trips where the value of Express Pass really adds up.
Hotels that include free Unlimited Express Pass:
The three Signature Collection hotels — Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, and Royal Pacific — all include Unlimited Express Pass for all guests in the room for the full duration of the stay. This can represent enormous savings for a family of four over several days.
Pro Tip: If you’re visiting for 4–5 days, compare the nightly rate difference between a Signature hotel and a value hotel. Once you factor in Express Pass savings, the Signature option often costs less overall.
You can buy a stand-alone Universal Express Pass (or Unlimited) for each day you visit. This is the most expensive option per day and makes the most sense if you’re only visiting for one day and don’t want a multi-day combo ticket.
Stand-alone Express Passes are priced dynamically — they cost more on busier days. Prices typically range from around $80 to $200+ per person depending on the date and which parks you’re visiting. These must be purchased in addition to your regular park admission ticket.

No, at this time, stand-alone Universal Orlando express pass tickets do not include admission to the theme parks and only allow you to skip the regular lines at most of your favorite rides and attractions. Universal Orlando admission tickets would have to be purchased separately. As discussed above, stand-alone express passes are completely separate from the multi-day Universal Orlando combo tickets.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, there is no one-day Universal Orlando combo ticket. For this reason, guests need an admission ticket to get into the park and a separate express pass if they try to take advantage of the shorter express pass lines.
At this point in time, there are no Epic Universe tickets that include express passes. It’s also important to note that EPIC Universe is not included in the multi-day Universal Orlando combo tickets mentioned above.
