Magic Kingdom — One Day Park Plan | The Park Prodigy
The complete hour-by-hour park plan — 18 attractions in one day, optimized for Early Theme Park Entry.
⚠ Important
This itinerary accounts for Early Theme Park Entry, included with all Walt Disney World resort hotel stays. We recommend arriving at the gate one hour before Early Theme Park Entry begins — that arrival is what keeps Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at 15 minutes instead of 70.
Wait times are drawn from our internal Magic Kingdom tracking data, averaged by hour. Walking time between attractions is built into the schedule. This plan does NOT include a midday break and is best suited for families with older children and young teens.
Note: Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are closed for the Cars expansion. Expect different walking paths between Big Thunder Mountain and Liberty Square.

Where the wait times actually reward you for showing up early — or staying late.
These four climb fastest. Big Thunder roughly doubles between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and Peter Pan's is still around 43 minutes at 11:00 PM.
These collapse at night. Pirates drops from 28 minutes to 9, and Buzz from 32 to 11.
TRON never drops below about 64 minutes at any point in the day. There is no clever time to ride it for free — see the Lightning Lane section below.
None of these are built into the schedule below — adding fireworks costs you roughly the last two rides.

Arrive at the gate by 7:30 AM.
*Wait times reflect hourly averages from our internal Magic Kingdom tracking data. Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass selections will substantially reduce actual waits. Plan finishes at approximately 10:21 PM.
The schedule above puts you in the TRON queue at 9:02 PM — two minutes too late. Move dinner ahead of Buzz Lightyear instead of after it: dinner at 5:36 PM, Buzz at 6:40, Astro Orbiter at 7:22, PeopleMover at 7:48, Space Mountain at 8:11, and TRON at 8:57. All 18 attractions survive.
Once you are in line before the posted close time you will be allowed to ride, but arrive after it and you are turned away. Check your park hours the week of your trip — this is the one timing detail that decides whether the plan works.
On a 9:00 PM close, Happily Ever After runs right as you would be joining the TRON queue. You are choosing fireworks or TRON, not both.
This plan is built to work without buying Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass — but here is where the money does the most work.
Single Pass
Multi Pass
Multi Pass
Multi Pass
For one day at Magic Kingdom with Early Theme Park Entry, a single Single Pass for TRON does more for your day than Multi Pass does — because early entry already handles Seven Dwarfs and Peter Pan's, the two rides Multi Pass would have saved you the most on.
If you are not staying at a Disney resort hotel, flip that. Buy Multi Pass for Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder, and treat TRON as optional.

Most of the skipped attractions never build a real line, so you can drop one in whenever you need air conditioning or a seat without wrecking the schedule.
