One of our favorite things that we love about the Universal Orlando value resorts compared to the Disney World value resorts is that pricing starts at $99.00 per night. We also love the room options at both the Endless Summer Dockside and Endless Summer Surfside Inn which include very affordable 2-BR suites which can fit up to 6 guests. These can be great options for larger families looking to take advantage of some cheap Universal Orlando packages.

Value Resort Cons
Since the Endless Summer resorts are the newest additions to Universal Orlando they are not connected to the original Universal Orlando campus. This isn’t a massive deal for us as there is still a free bus shuttle service that runs continuously throughout the day and typically takes 5-7 minutes. The Universal Orlando value resorts also don’t have any sit-down restaurants and focus mainly on quick service and affordable meals.

Universal Orlando Prime Value Resorts
Prime Value Resort Pros
Our team loves staying at the Universal prime value resorts when we want to enjoy some additional amenities at budget-friendly prices. We find the Universal Cabana Bay Resort perfect for families looking to enjoy time back at the hotel in which they can enjoy the amazing lazy river-style pool and also the bowling alley. While we find Universal Aventura Resort the perfect hotel for families looking for nicer room accommodations, as they are some of the nicest and most modern rooms on the property. Both hotels are also within walking distance to Universal Volcano Bay theme park! We find these hotels to be extremely popular for families looking for Universal Studios package deals around Spring Break and the Summer.

Prime Value Resort Cons
Although both the Aventura Resort and Cabana Bay Resort are a 20-minute walk to the two main theme parks, they are not as close as some of the other Universal hotels. However, they do have free shuttle transportation to and from all three theme parks. Universal Cabana Bay is also one of the larger Universal hotels, with many of the rooms spread out, which might not work for every family as the shop for the cheapest Universal packages. Our last con is very similar to the Endless Summer resorts, and that is that the Universal Prime Value Resorts do not have any sit-down restaurant options, with the main focus being quick service.

Preferred Resort Pros
Although Universal Orlando only has one Preferred Resort to choose from when shopping for Universal package deals it might be our favorite on the list simply because of its price point with rooms starting at $220 per night. We think this is a great value compared to the Disney World Moderate resorts which will start around $330.00. We also love everything about the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort including the rooms, amenities, and dining options and it has quickly become our go-to hotel when we book our our Universal Orlando hotel package!

On top of that these hotels also have the nicest pools, restaurants, and spas on Universal property, and all of them are within walking distance to the two main theme parks!
