Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2019

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2019

Is it your lifelong dream to travel the world and experience each country’s unique culture through food, music and more? Imagine having the opportunity to experience all of that in just one day!

That’s exactly what’s waiting for you at EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World!

This year’s festival will run from August 20th, 2019 to November 23rd, 2019 during normal EPCOT operating hours.

We have been attending this event for almost 10 years now! Year after year, this cultural celebration gains more and more attention, making it one of the most popular events at WDW! In fact, this event has become so popular that Disney has extended the event by adding additional weeks, giving you more time to fill those passports!

What makes this event so special is that Disney does not require you to purchase a special event ticket to attend. All you have to do is purchase a theme park ticket to EPCOT and the event is considered complementary!

Activities

Although, entry to the EPCOT International food and wine festival is included in your regular ticket price, it is important to keep in mind that food and beverages at each country are not included. Not to worry though, we have found that this event has something unique to satisfy your taste buds while sticking to your budget!

Taste your way around the world: This is our favorite part of the whole festival! There are over 40 booths set up throughout the park, each offering an array of different foods and drinks from countries all over the world. Each booth represents its own country with its own theme, selection of entrees, desserts and both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

TIP: We highly recommend grabbing a complimentary food and wine passport when entering the park so that you can keep track of which countries you have visited!

  • Seminars and tastings: These are “mini-events” that you can attend that offer beverage seminars, brunch, culinary demonstrations, etc. They are hosted by celebrity chefs and some of the most recognized personalities in the gastronomy world.
  • Workshops/Classes: Some of these are free, but you must book in advance as they are scheduled at certain times throughout the day with limited accessibility.
  • Live entertainment: There is a series of free shows known as Eat to the Beat Concerts, which you can enjoy at certain times throughout the day at the American Gardens Theater in the American Adventure Pavilion.

TIP: Be sure to check out the Festival Center! This is where many of the seminars are held, but last year it was home to all the Food and Wine Merchandise. Every year, Disney releases exclusive limited-edition merchandise for the event.
